This drawing. I just tried generating my character with AI. I used an old sketch I drew a long time ago and a couple of references. And here’s the result — it’s better than what I can draw myself. I’m honestly shocked at how far AI generation has progressed. It’s scary.

Right now I have, you could say, a creative depression — it's not about illness, it's about something else. For several months I haven't been able to start creating drawings again. It seems like there's a desire to do something, but you just can't start doing it.

Yeah, that's basically called an art block — when you feel stuck and nothing seems to work.

I'm already kind of scared to start. Maybe it's the fear of making mistakes, lack of free time, stress, lack of self-confidence, the fact that there's no feedback — my posts don't get views or likes — and neural networks that keep getting better and better every year, making all my efforts feel meaningless.

Honestly, I want to get back to doing something interesting. I've noticed that on Tumblr, my posts actually gather likes, and that feels good. I'm not a popular author; at best, about 50 people see my work.

A lot of people face art block; it's interesting how they deal with it. And good luck to you. Well, I'm off to make myself some tea with cookies :P
