No Longer Active! @theymightbebipeds

i seem to keep getting new followers, so here's a reminder i'm no longer posting here! all art and everything else is on my main blog -> @theymightbebipeds . thanks!

So, this post is kind of a long time coming, and I'm very much cobbling together what I want to get across on the fly. The short edition of what I intend to say here is this; I no longer have an interest, or any investment in, continuing to post on this blog. I've made some really excellent friends and forged some unbreakable connections via posting my art publicly. I've reached an audience of thousands, something I could have never fathomed prior! All of this is entirely, unthinkably wonderful- I will never cease being stupefied and grateful for what my years spent creating art for Tumblr has granted me. However, life has taken me in another direction entirely. I've become incredibly active both within my discipline and outside of it; my passion is, and has always been, science, leaving relatively little time for the creation of art. Thusly, I've been drawing less and less, and I'm to a point where I scarcely share a thing that I draw. Much of my following here is owed to the Slenderverse. Though my involvement will continue in the form of administrating zines, aiding in creative projects, and doing cool stuff on my main blog, I'm simply no longer interested in what the fandom has to offer me. As the demographic skews younger, and I grow older, my desire to contribute wanes; I think it's better that a new generation of fans get to take the helm. I don't have much to say in conclusion. Will I begin another blog? Possibly, though not until much later. If I do, I likely will not publicize it via this blog. I want to begin creating art not driven by economic or gratification-based incentives. I also don't want to create fanart, something I've never loved doing. This blog will stay up as an archive of everything I've, wonderfully, been able to achieve here. None of my drawings are going anywhere. For now, though, maybe I'll see some of you again in the future- maybe you'll even re-encounter me organically, posting art under a new name somewhere else! Thank you for all of your support thus far, you all have made me feel really, super special. I'll see you guys around :-]
