Oh yeah like two days ago I woke up and I instantly remembered this guy for no particular reason

I recently made two new gifsets which are coincidentally Usagi/Seiya and Usagi/Mamoru one after the other, and it reminded me of my junior high days when Stars was airing and I would have the debate with my friends about who’s better for Usagi: Mamoru or Seiya. Being junior high students at the time, our arguments revolved around who’s hotter or the fact that Mamoru wasn’t even there to compete.

But now that I’m much older, I feel like digging deeper into the issue. I find it fascinating that both relationships are so different, has such contradictory flavors and might have end results that are at opposite ends of the spectrum. This, of course, boils down to how different Mamoru and Seiya are.

Basing the argument on the anime, I will be referring to Seiya as ‘he’ mostly because we see him and his most important interactions with Usagi more in civilian form - aka when he was male.

Though it doesn’t need to be said, I will state it anyway: these are my personal opinions. Yours may well differ and that’s okay.
