i feel like the general opinion of (successful?) streamers will slowly turn negative in the near future just like it did with actors/musicians/ a great majority of celebrity figures. it’s just another obnoxious flaunt of wealth to be able to hang out or play video games all day and make quintuple the amount of money in a few hours than most people make in months. most forms of art and entertainment are just profiting off of “cosplaying” the common man or pretending to be your friend, if that makes sense. parasociality exists in many forms!
