confession: i used to be one of those intolerable “ha ha boyband stuff cringy and bad because xyz” people up until 6 hours ago when I did venue management at one of the harry styles “love on tour” concerts. I honestly prepared for the worst, but in my entire career ushering and eventually doing arena management, i have never dealt a crowd that was so pleasant, peaceful and wholesome (and well dressed tbh). not a single person caused problems or complained about the vaccine checkpoint, there was no fights at all, no one drinking too much or harassing anyone, nothing. Nothing! the entire show I was waiting for the inevitable 4-part symphony of disasters that comes with a 20,000 attendee concert, but there was just nothing bad happening and man it was WEIRD to me. the worst thing that happened was just the obscene amount of boa feathers on everything, and tbh,…. can someone explain that to me because I really want to know LMAO
but anyways seeing him help a girl come out of the closet with the crowd? I was straight up crying on the job. wtf was I thinking. you guys are just so great,, that was one of the chillest shifts i’ve ever had lol. I’m vibing with all of you, you weird british papa smurf loving ppl. bring it in
