Violet Harmon

Nate had been invited to a school to promote healthy eating and lifestyles. It was a weird request, but he was getting paid for it. He had just finished introducing himself, Nate Kulina, professional MMA fighter, 22 years old. When he had opened up the floor the first question he got was whether or not he was single, so it was a very uncomfortable start for him. It was over and now he was just mingling.

                        there was a reason she didn’t come to school most days - this was definitely one of them. what kind of bullshit was this? she hardly doubted a person who fought others for a living was going to have any kind of healthy lifestyle. she guessed it wasn’t his fault anyway.  head turned when she heard her name - then brow creased as she saw who it was. 

                    “ J-JEEPERS … w-where the hell did you come from ?? ”the sleuth couldn’t help but stumble backwards out of pure surprise . other than her friends , didn’t think there would be anybody else in this house —- maybe the other girl was an aspiring sleuth herself , who knows ?? the redhead found it best not to question , a deep breath escaping her lips before a small smile caressed her gentle face . 

                         an amused quick smile at her reaction. she supposed that was pretty typical, and she was the stranger was lucky that she had found her first. if not she might already be a spirit - although that depended on the mood. “ i was in here when you came in, “ she stated, a slight shrug as she pushed herself onto the table.  surely if these guys were actual mystery hunters they should know not to split up in haunted houses. 

It was every so often that he tried to talk to her again, but he ensured to keep the attempts spaced out. They said absence makes the heart grow fonder, so perhaps after so little communication, she’d be starting to miss him too. The blond had been standing in Violet’s room for several seconds before she noticed his presence, and immediately he could see her expression harden when those familiar honey-colored hues lifted from the book she was reading. There it was again, the statement of her not wanting to see him, even after all this time. Still, it wasn’t enough to deter him. She hasn’t told him to go away, after all. “I wanna talk,” he replied, voice much softer in comparison to hers. “I know you’re mad, and I know you have every right to be. I’m not here to ask you for forgiveness. I made mistakes that I can’t take back, but I miss you, Violet.”

She snorted as he started to talk. “ You want forgiveness ?  You missed the point of what I told you the first time. I can’t forgive you - I shouldn’t even be listening to you. Why can’t you understand that ? “ she questioned him. Maybe one day he would understand that, every time she saw him she could feel herself almost caving - maybe that’s what he wanted. He just wanted her to cave; he didn’t care if it would never be the same again - or he then stopped caring about what he’d done, if he could have her again then he would have won. I miss you too, were the words that she could never voice - could never let herself voice. 

“ How are you going to redeem yourself - you killed my mother, I don’t even want to think about how many others of the residents here you killed. How would you plan on bringing them back to life so they can leave this hell ? “ she demanded, she hoped if she sounded angry enough Tate might give up. It was so hard not to let him in again, like she had on the first day. “ My death wasn’t your fault - don’t use that as an excuse to why you think you should have a second chance. You killed others. It doesn’t matter if you tried to save me. “ she explained - the anger dying a little, a softer tone used, perhaps from sadness of her own in the way she’d condemned herself to this life.
