Looker:

If you said that this day wasn’t an enthusiastic experience for Naoto you’d be lying. Firstly she got hired to Interpol, a place she’d always wanted to be in ever since a little child aspiring to be a detective like her parents, and this change would be permanent. She’d have to say goodbye to her Johto apartment and dreams of living permanently in a region other than Kanto or Unova and simple tasks - and tracking Team Rocket as a hobby obsession of hers - but she was willing to trade it all for a more challenging and even dangerous job. This allowed her to interfere with other crime leagues close to the one who killed her parents and stop more insane plans like Team Galactic, Aqua and Magma had had.

Secondly, she was meeting a member she had looked up to for some time for his efficiency and professionalism today as a warm-up for case they shared the following year and the bluenette was ecstatic. Take deep breaths, and calm down. This is the only shot you get at impressing mr. Looker and stabilize what you got. She hadn’t assumed the pretty successful agent of Interpol to look this… old and like years of experience showed in him.

This particular recruit in particular looks promising. Yes, eyes full of enthusiasm. 

“Welcome to Interpol.” Looker smiles. “It’s a pleasure to meet you.”

“100kr. I understand we are to search for and secure the hive of UB-01 at Ten Carat Hill.”

Behind her back, the young woman clasped her hands together. Within her measured tone was a note of anxiety, a hint of fear at what would soon await her. Only having recently been inducted into the International Police, and the UB Task Force, Agent 008 was not certain as to the success of this mission.

Months after her fall into this world, her memory still remained as clear as turbulent water. Every time a sound or smell or sight dredged something from the depths of her mind, its image would distort and shatter into pieces before she could catch a glimpse of it. 

“However-”

She may have knowledge on battling the Ultra Beasts, but why was an amnesiac like her sent into the field so quickly? Something didn’t quite add up.

“-I must question the logistics of containing this…infestation. At the moment, we have no idea as to the exact number of individuals residing within this one hive. And pokeballs cannot contain them. Yet Interpol has only sent the two of us.”

She seems so willing... why is she sent out to such a duty? She’s just a young girl... This isn’t right. She shouldn’t be here.

“…are you really certain the local variety of Team Rocket wouldn’t pull this lame of a stunt more than once? I’d still double check the false alarm place, or at least send my team member to do that work.” The young heiress was explaining to her work partner and superior of sorts about a trap clearly meant to work she had found at Route 13. Instead of trapping anyone it had miserably failed since her Alakazam had teleported right behind Naoto when stepping on the pile of leaves, surprising and giving a small heart attack at the same time.

“You’ve had sex?”

Was the first thing that dropped out of her mouth instead of anything useful. After that though the woman at least managed to correct herself. Her initial facial expression also was adjusted to something more serious. 

“Sorry that’s not helpful. Here let me get a copy of that picture, and I’ll start seeing what I can do on my end.”

“Hm, I think the only gal that would is someone vapid enough to fawn just because the person has an accent. That’s just my hot take though.”

She quipped sliding her poke gear back into place. Honestly and truthfully she was about to round up all of her forces to find the kid if there had been a need for it. After all this was a kid, and Karen felt strongly when it acme to protecting children. Also Looker and her had been on good terms lately so it was best to keep that.

“She is adorable though, and running an agency at her age is impressive. How long did you train her for, or was she a natural?”

Karen asked admittedly finding it adorable that the gruff and tough cop was gushing over his daughter.
