Crystal eyes widen hand reaching out as he runs over to the familiar figure.

After all these years... he found her. She disappeared not long after one of their last meetings. God, he missed sneaking her out of the Battle Tower to go get late night dinner and hang out. He hadn’t dared go to karaoke since she disappeared. The little sister he never had... after ten years, there she is! All grown up.

Steven clutches the Interpol Chief by the shoulders.

“You’re part of Looker’s whole agency aren’t you?”

Karen commented seemingly already knowing the answer by her flippant tone. She knew she shouldn’t be so cold shouldered to someone simply because of their association however she didn’t like the approach of this situation. First of all Lance had called her into his study to meet with someone. Karen usually dreaded this kind of call since it almost always involved something he knew she’d be hesitant to. Sure enough this was one of those situations with the woman coming for official interpol business. Great, working with the cops, her least favorite thing to do. Granted interpol was far more competent than the run of the mill folks that she had been assigned as the ‘Kanjo Region Security Sueprvisor’, but she still wasn’t a fan of dealing with them. 

After all they were the folks who made the house arrest and therapy sessions mandatory when her and the other elites were transitioning into their elite status after being criminals for years. No better way to put someone on the path to healing than smacking a blinking bracelet on their ankle and forcing them to see a shrink who did nothing but ask questions they weren't comfortable answering. 

She and Looker had generally made amends if you skirted past the occasional argument or ‘friendly’ competitions they broke out into from time to time. Just because they had worked some stuff out didn’t mean Karen was opening her doors to just anyone though. As far as she knew the only person that had her criminal records these days was Lance, but she wouldn’t put it past anyone from interpol trying to dig those back up.

“Look I’ll tell the cops to keep an eye out for the guy you’re looking for, but I don’t know anything myself.”

Karen told the other laptop on the kitchen counter not even looking at her files. truth was she did know the name of the person they were asking for, but they were one of the folks Karen had helped turn their life around. What Karen was curious about was why they were looking for him now.

“You haven’t even told me why you’re looking for them so I don’t have a place to start looking either.”

was it a threat or a desire to help, Charlotte supposed that either way it was a good reason to listen, and she had no idea what the sounds in the distance were but they certainly sounded like she didn't have many other valid choices at the moment
