Happy Little Accident (Sonic Edition)

Chapter 3 is posted!!!! This story is so much fun to write!! This one is very description heavy, with more details on what’s currently broken about Shadow’s body.

So their backstory is very much still in the works, but I have decided o. Some concrete ideas for their story. One, their dna is half Shadows. Neither party sees Shadow as a “parent”, considering Shadow is only around 12 years (the equivalent of in their current maturing status) older than Dusk.

In my story, black arms and corresponding subspecies don’t really have a gender, it’s more of what they lean towards aesthetically that gives them their gender. Dusk, being a shapeshifter, is gender fluid, more leaning towards non-binary or female (depending on the day), where as both Shadow and Eclipse (IDW comics) Lena more masculine and use the corresponding pronouns.

Dusk was created with the intent to be a weapon to rival Shadow, by G.U.N. They were deemed a failure after a few months of being “created” (i.e in a giant test tube growing rapidly through child phases) after not displaying any of the developmental powers Shadow did at similar ages. G.U.N did however know of their shape shifting powers, hence the multiple inhibitor rings to keep them from turning into someone and escaping.
