1. If anyone even tries to suggest you’ll grow apart because you live far apart, you will end them.

2. The moment when you together is the best feeling on the planet. Like cookie dough ice cream dipped in sunshine draped in diamonds. You can’t help but squeal and hug a lot.

3. The texting anticipation right before said reunion is so real, though. You send each other minute-by-minute updates that might be just emojis.

4. You don’t even need to plan activities for when you meet up. Chilling out on the couch and talking, or not talking, is exciting enough as long as you’re together. And kissing, of course.

5. Even if you’ve never met them, you feel like you know everyone in their life based on all the stories you’ve heard.

6. Saying goodbye feels like getting punched in the gut. Or punched in the tear ducts. Either way: THE WORST.

7. You’re constantly having multiple conversations on different platforms at the same time. iMessage, Snapchat, Facebook chat, Instagram..

8. You’re perpetually saving up to visit each other. Whether you’re saving up for gas money, a bus or train tic, you’re constantly saving up for your next visit. because getting to see your love is so worth it!!!

9. You know exactly how many miles are between you two at all times.

10. You take so many selfies together, some people might mistakenly think that you guys live together.

11. You shudder to think about what it was like to keep up a long distance love before the Internet existed. You imagine your parents sending handwritten letters by candlelight and then sending them.

12. You can’t wait to move to the same city. Or just dreaming of how you’ll be live together. It’s the only thing that gives you hope when you’re really missing each other.
