How Many Roofs?
I’m currently working on a piece called 16 roofs, it derived from a conversation my girlfriend and I had about how many houses I have lived in, in my life. From the title you may have guessed that I have lived in 16 houses throughout my 26 years of life, the ration of that equals to almost 1 house per 2 years. Although some were less and a few were more only a few of these were actually a home! This conversation triggered something in me, I didn’t realise how uncommon this was until I discussed it with my peers. 80-85% of people in my life have lived in one to three houses in their whole lives, now compare this to my 16! Crazy right? I’m intrigued, most of you will read past this and keep scrolling but has anyone topped me? Maybe in less time, maybe more houses, I’d love to know! How many roofs have you had over your head throughout your life? How many houses did you live in? How many of them were homes?
