My boyfriend likes to really make fun of women calling them nasty names and things of the sort. I chose to do some reverse psychology on him. He started making fun of a girl who works at chick fil a and living far away from it. He was saying how stupid it was to work at that chick fil a when there’s one closer in her area. Told him I’ve worked far away from home too and it just depends on the situation. That didn’t change his mind. I told him that he should ask her. I told him to ask her like this “ hey dumb bitch why don’t you work at the chick fil a near your house?!” Then I said or you can ask like this “ hey you dumb cunt why do you work so far from home ! You’re wasting gas” I also asked him if she’s a fat pig but he didn’t respond and he got uncomfortable and asked me why I’m being triggered. I told him that I’m not and this is how we joke. I told him that when we see stupid people in the streets we would call them fat, ugly, stupid, and other names so I thought this was ok. He continued to be uncomfortable. I told him that I didn’t realize the jokes that I made offended him and if he doesn’t like it we can stop joking like that. He told me he will call me later. I hope he stops making fun of women. I also started talking about men this way to continue to make him uncomfortable. I have told him before that I don’t like the way he talks about women and he’s told me it’s a joke and not take it seriously.

I have learned there are things in my life that I cannot control. I have learned if I’m in a situation that I don’t like I can disengage from it. People can not control me and I cannot control others. All I can do is my best to express myself and set up appropriate boundaries.

I am so tired today after fighting last night. I don’t know what to do anymore. It’s hard for me to go to bed alone and when I do I can’t fall asleep I get paranoid and anxious about what he’s doing. I just want peace. I can’t force him to go to bed with me. He won’t compromise.
