Prejudice and Aggression 👺😡
Attitude and Persuasion 🎭⚠️

It was a thrilling experience where critical thinking is really evident for the thorough understanding of the clues and events that led to a certain tragedy. Everyone had their roles to commit to, and that's what makes it interesting—embodying a personality that may not be aligned with yours. I must admit that I am not as good as others at being detectives, but what I've observed is that attitude and persuasion can pave your way, either to the grave or to victory.
There are things in life that may give us an easy way to come up with a perfect assumption; we may not know that the easiest ways are the ones that lead us to confusion or worse, make us doubt the innocent. Like in life, there are people who will confuse us along the way to achieving our goals. These are the ones who seem to support you from your back when actually they are the ones holding the knife.
Trust is hanging by a thread; you don't know who's who, and who among you all are innocent and the culprit. Others' opinions really had a big impact; they can change your initial opinions upside down and can challenge your decision. The game could have been so much better if we had more time for investigating. Overall, it was a success.
Conformity and Obedience 🤝
It starts with a twist and ends with a twist. I love how they included recognition of everyone's efforts. Though my group was not that prepared and hasn't won any, at the end of the day, we are still a group and we enjoyed doing the task together. Conformity and obedience are really evident, especially since it is an activity that needs a collective decision—something that everyone must commit to for the success of the scenario given. It really shows how the majority or someone with authority can twist events and ideas in making decisions. The experience was so good; I really saw that my group was enjoying it, though "asa ang wildcard?" kuno hahahaha.
In addition, I believe that it could have been perfect if the scenario were shown on the screen, or maybe if the scenario was given before signaling the runner to get the props or things, since it was not clearly heard when it was given during the time that everyone was stressing about getting the props—the noise barrier. Overall, we had fun. That's what matters: to enjoy the moment and learn during the process, including accepting defeat.

Social Beliefs and Judgement 🤔
It was truly fun — as in F-U-N! I gained so many realizations and meaningful learnings during the program facilitation. From the very beginning, I appreciated how well-organized everything was. All the members clearly gave their best and understood their individual roles during the presentation. Kudos to everyone!
At the start of the activity, I learned how people’s behavior is strongly influenced by their beliefs and judgments. Some individuals tend to conform to the majority, while others choose to stand firm in their own decisions. We also discussed important concepts such as overconfidence bias, different social theories, and common judgment errors. It was interesting to see how even a minority group can influence the majority. When a minority confidently expresses a different perspective, it can cause others to pause, reflect, and reconsider whether their initial answers were correct. This shows that influence is not always about numbers, but about consistency and conviction.
Another realization I had was about the impact of time pressure. When we are given limited time to decide, we tend to think under pressure, which can affect the quality of our judgment. Sometimes, we only realize the correct answer when it is already too late. This made me understand how external factors, like time constraints, can shape our decision-making process.
Lastly, beliefs and judgments go hand in hand and constantly influence one another. However, we still have the power to decide which perspective we will prioritize. Even though we all have different beliefs and judgments, it is important to reflect on whether our actions are appropriate for the situation. Awareness and critical thinking are essential in making sound decisions.
Overall, the activity did not only teach concepts but also helped me become more mindful of how I think, judge, and respond in social situations.
Social Thinking Facilitation 🧠🤯
We called it a wrap for Social Thinking Facilitation. At last, we have learned how important it is to understand social cues and perceive them critically with thorough understanding. Yes, sometimes we may overlook a situation and perceive it way too far from what it actually is. Social thinking is a vital tool for us to understand, to evaluate social cues, and to build ideas from what we understand. This can serve as an eye-opener for us to be better decision-makers and to build strong social connections, and to not judge quickly solely based on incomplete stories. Putting ourselves in others’ shoes to truly understand a person's point of view, and analyzing their actions—what might be the cause and what will be the consequences of it. It really is a great help for us, especially psychology students, since we are here to understand and critique people scientifically.
PRE-MED DAY 🩵
A lot has happened that I can’t put it all into words. I was, in fact, so tired until it was done. I might say that it’s the most stressful event I have ever involved myself in, yet one of the most memorable to the core. From handling my groups to doing what we can, to involving myself in things where I can lend a helping hand, to the challenges I faced regarding uncertainty, it was a long day. Being tired is an understatement.
But, I’ve learned a lot. Being tired is not an excuse to run away from your priorities. I learned that endurance is a mental game; when the body wants to quit, the purpose keeps you moving. It won’t be easy, yes, but at the end, there will be that thing we call fulfillment. I found fulfillment in not giving up, in finding ways to resolve conflict rather than avoiding it, and in thanking myself despite my flaws.
The C3 family was mostly new faces for me; I was not with my comfort circle of friends. This taught me the value of professional adaptability—learning to trust and collaborate with people I’ve just met. Yet, here I am, halfway through this semester, still learning and slowly loving the process of how reality works.
To my logistics group, you all went through a lot and encountered many challenges before and during the event. You taught me that a team's strength isn't the absence of problems, but the collective will to solve them. I want to give my warmest hugs to all of you. To the teacher who went through all the days of planning and faced challenges alongside us, a big salute for sticking by our side. To the C3 family, it was not easy, yet we ended it with grace and unity. To myself, you need matcha for doing great.
If given the chance to handle such responsibility again, I would gladly accept the pleasure. But by then, I will use what I've learned from this experience to continue pushing while I can. Though I faced critiques, information that I didn't want to hear, feelings that I never want to experience again, and people that made me confused and question things in life, it was a rollercoaster day. Above all, it was a success, and I've learned a lot; that's what matters at the end.
Beyond the Flock: Identity, Influence, and the Art of Staying You 🎨🎭🖌️
Scan me 👇🏼
"Birds of a feather flock together," but does the flock define the bird? Group influence is powerful, yet self-awareness remains our strongest tool. We’ve all seen "social loafing"—those moments where people lean on the group’s effort rather than their own. While some call it inevitable, I believe it’s a call for reflection. Whether we are members or leaders, we must move beyond passive participation. A true contributor doesn't just follow rules; they offer ideas. A true leader doesn't just give orders; they welcome the criticism that makes the group better.
However, the company we keep doesn't always dictate our character. You can be close to people whose choices you don’t share—whether it’s heavy drinking or past mistakes—without losing your own moral compass. Deindividuation—losing yourself in the crowd—isn't a given. By setting firm boundaries and knowing your own limitations, you can walk among different perspectives without losing your path. We are often judged by who we stand next to, but ultimately, our identity is defined by where we choose to draw the line.
The Empath's Paradox 🫂

Living in a country where a failing economy is visible is a pain to the dreams of many. The rich are getting richer while the poor stay behind. I dream of helping those in need; I am aching to provide whatever I can, but how will I do it when even I need something to survive?
I encountered a young girl asking for money to buy some bread when I only had money left for my next meal. It was painful to decline, but we are both just surviving—simply on different timelines. Our government does not just need to be known in their neighborhood; our government must act and see the situations behind closed doors, on forgotten streets, and among the people who still live in the shadows of poverty.
I believe that helping and peacemaking go hand in hand. I relate this to one of the most vital topics we must understand today: the country’s problem with helping marginalized communities. There are many activists voicing these problems; some see them as enemies. It feels like "the people vs. the government," when in fact, it should be "we," the people and the government, standing side by side for the betterment of the country. By helping and hearing each other, there comes peace, harmony, and connected goals.

The Angry Man 👺
Aggression can be learned; it isn’t always "natural."
I once said I was afraid of an angry man, only to realize that I am the angry man. I wake up to the sound of shouting instead of birdsong, and I wonder: who am I becoming because of it? I told myself it wasn't my fault—and maybe it isn't—but the evidence is visible.
Displaced aggression has become my coping mechanism. Will I be able to hold onto my sanity when solace is replaced by rage? I hope so. They say I’m the spoiled one, the "perk" of being the youngest child. Yet, few understand how I’m actually hanging on by a thread. I was the one who stayed to watch everyone else leave the house; I’m the one slowly deciphering the drama I thought was normal as a kid.
It’s been a harsh reality check. Witnessing broken relationships everywhere I go has left me with a cynical stereotype in my mind. I’ve lost the motivation to see the beauty in marriage because I overanalyze people by their smallest, darkest actions. Becoming an angry man was never on my bucket list—it just happened.
But even so, I am the most genuine, thoughtful, and empathetic "angry man" you’ll ever meet. She just happened to wake up earlier than she should have.
"The right people will accept you for who you are."
Living in a collectivist culture, we often rely on others for the decisions we must make, even if we feel a quiet resistance to it. Because we have such a deep-seated desire to belong, we sometimes abandon the lives we truly enjoy just to be accepted. While this is often done with our "best interests" in mind, there are cases where we forget to actually live because we have become puppets of the norm.
"The right people will accept you for who you are." We all possess unique abilities that may not appeal to everyone. However, it is not our duty to constantly please those around us. It is okay to live the life we truly want, free from the weight of regret.
What is life without living it the way the soul intended? There is so much more to existence than trying to fit in and grieving over "what could have been." Conformity should be the result of deliberate thought, not an automatic reflex. May we always think twice before allowing ourselves to simply "act" in a situation just because it is expected. Unity is strength, but having unique ideas does not make you a villain.
Is not knowing truly peace to the mind, or is it a pain to the soul? 𓇢𓆸
🧷 How am I able to save the boat that's sinking, when I myself am trying to survive those big waves of uncertainty? There is a pain in not knowing—the overwhelming feelings of what could have been. The unanswered questions from people depending on me; oh, to be invisible for a minute just to take a deep breath, just to freeze from the reality of the moment.
🧷 Time is an ultimate opponent; close your eyes for a moment and you'll wake up to find everything is no longer in your control. When that happens, I hope I am able to remind myself that I was strong, that I stood despite the fear of not knowing what was coming. It was a heavy, hectic week. Did I survive? Yes. Am I satisfied? Perhaps. Perhaps I overestimated time, believing it would slow down for me, but no. When things don't go my way, I hope ocean waves will calm my insanity—the deafening sound that erases the memory of not knowing the things that I should have done in a better way.
Unity 🍀
When doing work with other people, connection is a must. Being able to accept criticism is not as bad as it seems. Unity is a vital instrument to create better and more collaborative ideas for achieving one goal at a time.
Different perspectives from different people can create a macro effect on the foundation of great ideas. When someone is being left behind, lending a helping hand is not a problem; the issue is whether the one needing help actually listens to criticism and guidance from peers.
A great leader doesn't always do the commanding, but is the one who listens, who accepts corrections and suggestions, and actually sees herself/himself as someone who must be the magnet to build a lasting and strong bond and unity. To the ones who do their best to guide the group; may you also find people who know how to work.
The Civil War Within: Heart and Mind 🫀🧠
Perhaps we judge others by the ripples they leave in their wake—by the way their actions collide with our lives and the sting of how we are affected. Yet, we rarely pause to ask: Why do we allow ourselves to be moved? Is it because we have surrendered pieces of our soul into their keeping, or are we simply chasing daydreams—clinging to shadows of things that were never meant to be ours?
Many claim the heart is our greatest adversary. But how can the heart be an opponent when its only rhythm is a plea for visibility, a pulse for tenderness, and a quiet prayer to be cherished? It is the mind that plays the traitor; it parades as a "know-it-all," cloaked in logic yet often failing to act with grace or fairness toward others—or, more tragically, toward ourselves.
We are prone to feel with a sudden, shivering intensity, leaping before we reason, and it is in this haste that we so often lose our way. When we find ourselves entwined with the unfamiliar, we must learn the art of the second thought. Even when we stand in the light of a hundred-percent certainty, the path can still lead us astray. Yet, we must never close our books; we should never cease learning from the ghosts of what we once loved, the things we once cradled, and the wounds that linger for a lasting moment. For even in the ache, there is a lesson waiting to be known.❤️🩹

Who Am I?
We tend to ask ourselves who we really are, why we act this way, and how others might perceive us. We live in a world where people have specific standards, and we are eager to fit into them without knowing that our reality is being overshadowed by expectations set by others. As Filipino citizens, we are taught the essence of having a collective personality, where we respect the opinions of the majority and decide as one. However, at some point, we sometimes forget what we really want because we are too focused on what others want us to be. Living in the shadow of others is like living an unfulfilled life.
Who am I? If I ask the people around me, I will probably get many different perspectives. But really, who am I? At this age, I am still figuring things out, learning from previous mistakes, and trying to swim through whatever waves come my way—thus, I am a fighter, a believer, and a dreamer. Our self-image must not depend on how others see us; we must teach ourselves to love ourselves despite our flaws and insecurities.
The Power of Situation
We have different personalities toward different situations, and that reflects how powerful a situation can be. The way we interpret things has a macro effect on how we approach them. We tend to be blinded by our interpretations—by how quickly we judge a situation based on the surface rather than looking at the bigger picture.
Some people are incompatible because they see the same event differently. For a relationship to function smoothly, I believe that sharing the same viewpoint and reality contributes greatly to building a strong bond. Common sense is not universal, which is why I believe that different personalities do not always attract.
Social psychology is a key tool for self-understanding. Culture, perspective, and status all affect our interpretation of events. Whatever our understanding may be, we may have different goals; in the end, always choose kindness. 💝
