what she means: in the “deliquent youths turn heroes” newspaper article that was released after ponyboy and johnny save those kids, they used pictures of pony, johnny, and dallas. however, if johnny was fine in the picture in the newspaper, and if dallas was in the hospital until the night of the rumble, wouldn’t that mean that they were old pictures from before the murder even happened? but ponyboy had bleached hair in his picture, and he was sick for a week and had no idea the article was even a thing. so where did the newspaper get those pictures? did the governemnt plan the murder of bob sheldon?
