“ did they ? did they invent electricity, too ? is thomas edison just a lie they tell us, or is he a time traveller too ? ” he knew some things, after all, but theta was good at making him question his perception of reality. part of why was when he noticed theta deep in thought about something that could’ve happened hundreds of years ago or only a decade ago. “ well, i better see a torch on the next model. and i want the credit, too. ” walt tried to cheer him up, ignoring the fact that he might not be around by that time. 

       “ i’m just saying, ” he defended, brushing his hand softly over theta’s shoulder. he definitely wanted to stay close to him in here, mostly for his own comfort — surely this thing didn’t scare the multi-centennial at all. “ yes, i’m ready. i don’t have any signal up here, so i don’t have to worry about mum trying to ring me. ” he was only gone for a few minutes down there, but it still felt better to imagine her thinking about him when he was walking into danger.

he took in walter’s reply, both of them ready for this quick ship visit. theta slowly opened the tardis door, stepping out into a dark tunnel, not even able to see his surroundings.   ‘   smells pretty off. and i can’t seem to hear much...   ’   breathing in the air, the repulsive smell of the ship didn’t phase theta. as a timelord, theta didn’t let much phase him, a simple smell couldn’t weaken him, unlike his human companion. 

               she doesn’t live under a rock . she’d watched love island , excessively , & she’d chosen a favourite . now , she isn’t the type to get nervous .. she’d been born into the spotlight , having been deemed as englands lucky charm the second her parents’ pregnancy had been revealed , but she’s still a twenty - one year old who falls victim to the occasional crush - induced nerves .                 at least the hardest part was over . she’d handled it with ease . they both had . & now they could indulge themselves in the free bar as the night finally begins .                 cheeks had started to glow over the course of the night , the warmth of the alcohol going straight to her head as she hovers patiently by the bar , watching as the cocktail a stranger had ordered gets shaken , stirred & just thrown around before her attention is piqued by a familiar voice .                   “ hiiii , “  she starts , grinning as her hands grip onto a handful of the excess fabric of her dress , allowing her to teeter towards where flynn was sat before pushing herself to sit next to him .  “ how come you’re all alone , huh ?? who left the love island star mr flynn all by his lonesome ?! ‘cause it wasn’t me .. “  —yes it was . but she doesn’t remember the part where she’d been peeled away from her co - host before being shipped off towards the table of a prestigious bunch of idiots . 

              —she didn’t stay for long , though . it’d only taken twenty minutes for her to consume half a bottle of champagne before heading straight for the bar , neck - bottle in hand . 

he giggled in response, leaning in towards her. maybe leaning in a little too close.   ‘   well, there was someone here with me...    ’   flynn pondered on it, trying his best to remember who he was even talking to before. the alcohol influence clouded his memory more than flynn realised, he could’ve been at this bar for hours for all he could know, but he didn’t seemed to be worried about this memory loss.   ‘   i dunno, but why would they want to leave me?!    ’

flynn huffed following with pouting just at the thought of anyone wanting to leave his presence. the star felt much more friendlier with his co host, closer than their previous awkwardness. was it because of the alcohol? probably. flynn was fine with having to suffer through memory loss and ‘fun’ trips to the bathroom as long if he didn’t have another uncomfortable conversation with jiae.

“ sure enough, yeah. you know my dad’s probably on call. he barely ever gets time off. ” kkd shrugged. it wasn’t his intention to sour siwoo’s first trip to america, even if he didn’t see the spark in the states that his friend did. pretty, yes, but a double-edged sword. “ if they were capable of performing miracles, i know they’d be here. i’m just not daring to get my hopes up. ”
