It’s been well over two years since the R211s debuted on the rails of the (A). Now that there are hundreds of sets in service, it’s time to add my thoughts of the R211 subway car.

You’re wondering: “what do I think of the R211 subway car?”

The subway car is great. It has many amenities, it’s clean, the propulsion sounds great, and it has a futuristic look. Capacity wise, it can handle the passengers well with most people standing in the non-seated areas. The ride is also smooth too, you never hear a screech of the train. It’s also peaceful and quiet than the older subway cars.

The R211s are replacing the R46s as I type this, and it’s not a bad replacement. The R46s will be missed, but the R211 will help make the transit system a better place.
