          another    voice    directed    her    way    becomes    recognized    as    intentional    ,    tandy’s    feet    slowing    to    a    stop    as    she    turned    to    face    the    other    with    raised    brows.        “     retaliate    ?     ”        roxxon    was    full    of    cowards.    their    employees    ,    at    least    the    ones    in    new    orleans    ,    were    living    in    a    world    where    consequences    didn’t    apply    to    them    and    that    didn’t    sit    very    well    with    tandy.    she    wouldn’t    let    them    ruin    anybody    else’s    lives    anymore    ,    especially    not    when    she    had    people    she    actually    cared    about    in    new    york    now.        “     i    hope    they    do.     ”        the    blonde’s    shoulders    lift    in    a    shrug    ,    eyes    glancing    at    the    damage    she’d    done    for    only    a    split    second    before    her    attention    returns    to    tadashi.        “     you    don’t    work    for    them    ,    do    you    ?     ”

tony raised an eyebrow. he thought he recognized the kid. he was a new hire, wasn’t it? “you don’t have a badge yet, do you?”

there’s a very long pause—  processing the concept of a culinary swiss army knife.   “now that you’ve said it— absolutely yes.   how did i not think of that?   you are a genius.”   this has quickly become the most interesting conversation he’s had all week.   “i mean you could eat food with a swiss army knife.   you’d have to be a little desperate and also a little weird because i’d just use my hands but i think it could be done.   & you gotta be passionate about something!   i think a good knife is interesting.   you—  what are you passionate about?   got any interesting thoughts to share?”

tadashi & fall. it’s not just the comfy sweaters he wears! his fall semesters always gave him this particular kind of excitement, of getting to learn more cool things at san fransokyo tech. there was homecoming, then the showcase, then the prospect of snuggling up into thicker blankets and serving up yummy fall snacks at the cafe.

🥭  :    how important to my muse is their hometown,  or where they’re from?  are they proud of it,  or considered a hometown hero? did they move away,  or do they wish to? 

i. tadashi absolutely loves san fransokyo, california. most of the love came from the fact that his entire life was in san fransokyo, including his loved ones; his family ( the remaining ones ) and his friends. he loved, he lost, and he dreamed in san fransokyo. all-day shifts at the lucky cat cafe if he could get away with it -- aunt cass would honestly pull him away from the counter when she catches him not taking a break. the exciting ( even if difficult ) courses he was taking at SF Tech --- his one big selfish proof that he was smart, just like his prodigy younger brother. the streets, the lights, and the countless people ( both nameless & his acquaintances ). 

ii. it was strange. tadashi had looked at a map of the united states not long after he had arrived through the portal and his eyes landed on where san fransokyo was ( or where it should be ) and his eyes landed on san francisco and realized that it was either a mistype, a different map for a different time, or a just a different place altogether. either way, there might be a chance that tadashi hamada didn’t exist in this plane of existence. fun.

Brainy wasn’t sure if he really agreed with or believed the man’s first statement, but they decided it was best not to argue too much. Best to let the humans have their fun, “Yes, I was informed of the SWORD and SHIELD corporations holding their mixer of sorts, I think that’s a good way to breed community among everyone,” Especially after the last few months, “You are celebrating, then?”

“ oh , well .. i did the matchmaking survey that they had put out. “ and in spite of himself , a slight blush crept up his neck at the admission. he’d never once been the kind of person that overthought romance ( or his lack thereof ); not because he thought he could pull as much people as he could , as his aunt would remark , but because .. well , he was just too busy. but here? he had all the time he could possibly need for , well , a relationship , he guesses. “ kinda excited for that one. whichever of the people around would be my ‘ideal match’ or so they say. “
