Had issues so today is hospital day. I’m eating a bacon sandwich to take NSAIDs with. About to get help pushing me into clothes because apparently me showing up in a pair of ratty knickers and my harry potter t-shirt that is two sizes too big and no bra and compression socks is apparently, not cool. Then we’re off into hospital. Its been 21 days since I definitely did a Bad Dislocation of my hip. It feels like I absolutely trapped nerves, probably damaged the sciatic nerve - the burning nerve pain is also in my lower leg/foot which is what makes me think it’s the sciatic nerve. I have a specific spinal area of pain/pain type presenting in the discs L3-L5 that I’ve herniated before (we call it a slipped disc in the uk). And of course, muscle sprain/tear pain. You dislocate something, you tear muscles. That’s just obvious… The pain is… I can’t describe it accurately. I’m not shy about saying I’m on a rather disgusting amount of drugs, and its not stopping the pain - it makes it a little less painful - in conjunction with several spine/leg supports, heat packs and creams, and sitting in specific positions and not moving. But I’m still sobbing on and off a lot. IT SUCKS YO. BUT HOSPITAL might have answers. I’mma demand an xray, I will demand they see me and fix me. SOMETHING must be done.

So today I’m gonna be selfish!

I demand - YES. DEMAND. - love. Hugs. kisses. wishes. stars and dreams and hopes. I DEMAND that you give…

…all of that to your loved ones, to your friends, to strangers who need it but are too shy or scared to reach out and ask for it. To the angry assholes who might be hiding their pain behind anger because it makes them feel in control - to that person who you havent really spoken to in ages, you see them but no one has tried reaching out. Do it. For me.

So, here’s what happened.

I get there and with the help of a few people I’m put into the most uncomfortable wheelchair in existence. We arrived there at 9:45 am. The receptionist couldn’t actually believe the things we said - that I thought I’d properly dislocated my hip rather than a subluxation and more that I’d waited three weeks to see someone about it.

You see, we might have the NHS, a free healthcare service, but it’s in a serious crisis that extends to even our GPs and ability to get an appointment (three+ weeks waiting list here, and it’s possible in that time they might cancel on you, and better yet, they won’t do shit at the appointment - anyway…) The triage nurse has similar vocal concerns, but whatever. I’m the one with EDS, I know what its like etc. She also tried to label it as basic hypermobility but I corrected her firmly. After three hours got in to see someone, a lovely doctor called Louise, who listened attentively to me describing it all and asked questions (though Louise might wanna slow down on her coffee! She’s a very quick talker :) ) and she helped me onto the bed with the aid of another, as I was in utter agony by then - no meds in me, muscles cramping hard from sitting in a wheelchair with no heat or support for three hours - and decided to get me some… wait for it… co-codamol

and sent me to radiography. Like five minutes after taking the co-codamol (andthis was after almost ten minutes of crying in pain, full on tears I’m talking, I was HURTING) I was in radiography and I had three WONDERFUL and patient nurses who did their bet to try and calm me down, help me sit, got me a pillow - the first xray needed me laid flat with legs outstretched, which frankly was near impossible. Esp with CO-CODAMOL in me, with next to no time in my system - so after crying and screaming in pain (and scaring the xray waiting lobby)I managed to stretch my legs out. Then with additional sobbing, bargaining etc, on my side for the other x-ray. As I’m being wheeled out - sobbing, teeth chattering and physically shaking as I held the sides of the gurney in a death grip, my mum catches up to me and her face is like ash and as I continue whimpering in pain, she says ‘Holy shit’ and she’s crying now too: I can only imagine how awful it was for her to see her child in writhing agony and be unable to ease it etc. But at the same time, I’m so glad someone was with me.

Back to the A and E room,

 where eventually Louise returns- my Xrays show no fractures! WOO! (look my pyjama bottoms!) However, it shows I have had a full on hardcore hip dislocation. Not one of these little whiffy dislocations I have here and there. This one wore sunglasses and didn’t look back at the ligaments it exploded… because my dislocation was so intense, IN MY SLEEP I MIGHT ADD (everyone seemed to think I’d fallen down stairs!) that not only have i got 

++ internal bruising and bleeding in my hip cavity, but I have ++ ripped all of my lower lumbar muscles and my hip/thigh ones too, which in turn having broken support ++ allowed not only my spine to herniate where I KNEW it had, ++ but also the torn muscles were rigid etc putting weird pressure on my nerves ESP when they cramp, hence why I get periods of numbness and electric burning shocks along with tight muscles in my foot etc.

FUCKING. BRUTAL.

“You’re like one of three or four EDS sufferers we have here! So interesting…” was said…and then launched into telling me that… she doesn’t know how long it’ll take for me to be better.

It could be a week, two weeks, a month, two months… :(

What I got from it was this: 

SHIT’S ROYALLY FUCKED UP.

So if I seem to go missing or stop talking mid convo etc - thats why.

I catastrophically dislocated my left hip in my sleep – and all I got was sent home with no new helpful meds and a shell-shocked parent.

Good Morning, everyone! Inktober is right around the corner and I planned something a bit crazy but hopefully it will be a lot of fun! Through October I will try to draw one line art picture per day! I’m afraid I may fall behind when patch 5.1 comes out or if I burn out but I will try to do as many as I can! As for what pictures? Here is where you come in! 

Send me an ask with an activity/action/idea and chose Teledji or Tulala to be part of it along your character! Example: Your OC’s Name dance with Tulala, Your OC’s Name falling in a pit with Teledji, Your OC’s Name cooking with Tulala, Your OC’s name confronting that pesky Teledji etc. Please do have an easy access to pictures/screenshots of your OCs/NPCs/WoLs on your blog so I can use as reference! I will try to draw as many as I can! Go crazy with the ideas - intense fights, or maybe angst? Heartwarming and wholesome moments or just casual fun, but no violence, please! It took so long to put Teledji together again! :( 

Your character doesn’t have to know either of them! It’s okay if we never RP’d before, or interacted! Think of these as AUs, What ifs, crazy scenarios with no context! The idea is, as the project name says, create “Mirage Memories” ! I know my time and energy doesn’t allow me to RP as much as I’d like but I want to create some good mementos with everyone as much as I can! I also want to try and draw more than lalafells and practice with the ink tool rather than my comfy sketch brush!
