Its a family union with her brother too.. she was sent as a student pre split, but when the cultural revolution & split happened her father was among the arrested, and her brother, a part of the Red guard, managed to get her a coded letter which told her Things are chaotic around here u shouldn't come back..... but the soviets issue that all Chinese students must leave by end of the month. And the dramatic loverboy goes No! Not even the chairman himself could take you from me! Marry me and they can't take you as a Soviet spouse. Then they do <3 pulling family connections too. Post ussr collapse it had been 30 years since she last saw her country or family and her brother now a mid level bureaucrat helps them settle in #myhetslop
