I paint and sketch a lot of things every single day that I never post because I don't think that they could make the cut. I also fear people judging me off of my "failures" and pronouncing me a wannabe artist. But I've come to learn that art is full of beautiful mess ups and mistakes. These imperfections show journeys, and it's what makes each piece special and unique. One of my favorite movies is Mona Lisa Smile. In the film there is this one scene where she (Julia Roberts who plays a professor) puts up a picture that she drew for her mother when she was a child, and then a picture of a photograph of a woman, and then a snapshot of a decaying carcus. She asks her class, "Is this art?" And allows her class to debate each peiece. Eventually they come to the conclusion that anything can be art and that we don't always have to listen to what society says, or wait for someone else to tell us that it's art to be able to appreciate it. Society may say that something isn't beautiful, or meet it's qualifications to be great. But beauty is in the eye of the beholder. If it's art to you, then it's art. And that can be applied in so many parts of our lives, not just art. Don't wait for someone else to tell you how to think.

The more episodes I watch the more I question history. Like, did Aliens help Abraham Lincoln win the Civil War? Maybe. These Ancient Astronaut Theorists are pretty convincing folks. I'm not for sure what to belive anymore.
