It was a convenient shortcut, but also beautiful.

In summer the grass grew up to my elbows and there were butterflies everywhere as I walked down the lone narrow footpath across it.

Then, it got razed to make way for construction work.

(Important construction work. I couldn't fault it, even if I mourned the loss,)

(and the loss of the forested hill further south that I used to run up so fast my sister called me a mountain goat.)

Now, many years later, I had rare cause to venture far from my usual paths.

(The package I collected had thirteen stamps on it, can you believe it.)

And I thought to see if I could take a shortcut by going under the bridges instead of walking alongside them.

Only to discover the meadow had grown back.

There weren't many flowers, but the grass came up to my elbows on both sides of the footpath

good morning its the time where i point out more tags pointing out details in the piece! roses don't exist anymore and yet he's offering you one, and has another in his hand. the farlands are behind him and there's a sand pyramid in the water. and bingo! the farlands dont exist in the same version as salmon (or granite/diorite and geodes)!

and its also artist commentary time (which @silly-fox-and-its-stuffies wanted)! this piece has a lot of small things and details. there's a few very minor coloring errors, but they're intentional to reference the old bug where white lines sometimes poked through block edges (which were often mistaken for eyes and is where the white eyes myth (herobrine's origin) came from), herobrine is crouching, a universal sign of piece in the game, and he's offering the player a rose. a flower which doesn't exist in the version we're in - there's amethyst and dripstone, new coal ore and redstone torch textures, something roses never overlapped with. and speaking of version discreppencies, the farlands are right infront of the player and are where herobrine came from. in the fog and sky in the background, it evening and turning night quickly, so he's offering the player somewhere safe to stay for the night (because in the versions he came around the night was extremely hard to survive for players with no base to stay in). the hunger bar is shaking. the player has a bed, two enchanted tools (the iron pickaxe is supposed to have efficiency 2, and the bow is supposed to have power 3), some food, cobblestone and five diamonds in their hotbar. the bow is newly selected. the item text just popped up, the player is aiming at herobrine.

theyre probably not gonna know earth is third for some time, since mercury is a very small planet at a fairly medium distance. The moon, too, obviously.

sigh. time to file another.

My mom is still unemployed again after being screwed over by her last job and I don't know how long it will be for appeal stuff to happen this second time but until then I very much do need and would appreciate the help. There isn't a specific goal or anything I just need help.

I've had huge brainworms about writing fanfic again after a really bad situation I was in a few years back but one of them is still up after all of this time. It is far from my best work but it's a sample I can show at least.
