They are TWENTY-TWO and have lived in stonebeach for SEVEN YEARS. we hear they’re A BARTENDER. many people around town say they’re very CHARMING & LOYAL, but we guess that makes up for them being so MYSTERIOUS & SECRETIVE. We around town would say [ well hidden bruises, charming his way out of trouble, eye smiles] describes them perfectly.

kyu took a drink of his coffee and looked out the window, until he was joined by the other man and he smiled at him. “actually,  around this time of year coffee shops tend to be crowded, with all the christmas style coffee’s and hot chocolates. the hot chocolate with the orange and whipped cream and marshmallows is my favourite.” he laughed and he looked around before he looked back at him. “it’s nice to meet you, haesoo. i’m kyu.” he said and he held his hand out to him. 

“Oh, that makes sense. I didn’t take the holiday special drinks and baked goods into account.” Haesoo nodded, drinking more from his coffee.”Haven’t had that one before but you made me wanna to try it. I like the Gingerbread latte, it’s really good.” He replied, smiling before extending his hand to shake Kyu’s. “Hope we’ll see each other again so I can repay the favor.” The bartender said softly. “Actually, if you like stronger drinks, I work as a bartender at  Under The Crowd and could hook you up with some free ones.” 

Kai watched his friend drink the drink that Haesoo had given him, Kai laughed again as Kit gave Haesoo a thumbs up, Kai’s attention falling back onto Hae. “No, we’re not celebrating. Some old college friends are back in town and wanted to get together for a couple drinks.” Kai smiled as he told Haesoo why he was at the bar. “And I didn’t say hi because I didn’t think you know where working and if you where I though maybe you’d be busy.” Kai shrugged his shoulders, Kit making his way back to the table of friends they came with. “Well, you’ve met Kit, he’s well…” Kai started before letting out a little laugh, his eyes back on Haesoo. “He’s something. Loud, willing to do anything, drives everyone nuts but is a great friend to have.” Kai smiled again. “Oh and yes I do plan on still drinking, I’m not all that drunk and if I end up drinking a little too much, I’ll fall on you or call Min or Ollie.” Kai Shrugged. “I’ll eat something, I promise.”

“Oh, that sounds nice! I just haven’t seen you drink this much before.” Haesoo explained, smiling. “Alright, I’ll let you off the hook this one time.” The bartender teased. “Oh, yes. I definitely got that vibe off him. Think he was trying to flirt with Lexi before she had to go serve a table, but from what I could see it wasn’t going so well.” Haesoo chuckled softly, looking over at his co-worker before his attention was back on Kai. “If you say so. Would you like to taste my new drink as well?” He offered, smiling. “And fine, but I’ll keep an eye on you. As your friend I should cut you off before you have too much and end up doing something you could regret tomorrow.”

“oh is that right?!” he laughed, mocking disbelief. he laughed when the cushion was thrown at him and he sat back against the couch. “well good because i think i’d be very upset if you would trade me for someone else. i’m irreplaceable though.” he laughed again. he looked at him again and raised an eyebrow. “you did?” he asked. “oh.” he nodded. “well, i mean that’s good right? that you didn’t tell him anything.” he said. he sighed though because he knew how haesoo felt about the police officer.  “how do you feel? are you ok?” he asked him. 

SHE  NODS  IN  agreement.  he  is  very  dependable  ––  one  of  the  many,  many  reasons  why  she  values  him  so  much.  his  smile  another.  hers  grows  whenever  she  sees  his.  “strawberries? the genius that you are.”  she  gushes  before  she  takes  another  sip.  the  taste  more  prominent  this  time,  it  makes  the  drink  even  better.  “a  killer  combo.  ––  hey,  here’s  a  suggestion.”  there  isn’t  a  doubt  in  her  mind  the  drink  will  be  approved.  “my  day  was  pretty  good.  got  all  my  work  done.”  she  displays  a  proud  smile.  “what  about  yours?  ––  are  people  not  coming  in  as  much  tonight?”

“Thanks, I just thought it’d really go well with the other ingredients.” Haesoo explained, smile widening a bit at the compliment. “Oh? That actually has a nice ring to it. I’ll keep it in mind.” The bartender promises, glad to have recieved such a positive reaction. “That’s nice, I hope it wasn’t too tiring.” Knowing Yeji for as long as he did, Haesoo was aware of her tendency to overwork herself and sometimes it made him worry. “It’s been good, a little quiet but I actually enjoy nights like these. It’s nice to be able to just take a break and relax for a while.”

Kai had been invited out by some of his friend he went to college with, a couple of them where back in Stonebeach and they wanted to get back together for an evening of stupidity like they did in their old college days. Though Kai was never one to have many friends, the group of friends he made he hung onto, mainly because they got to know little things about him. When he went looking for one of his friends, that wondered off to get more drinks, he laughed when he saw Kit talking to Haesoo about a new drink. “Kit, you left to get drinks fifteen minutes ago.” Kai sat down at the bar. The boy who didn’t drink all that often was feeling the booze he had drank that night. “Drink it and tell my handsome its good.”

Haesoo smiled as Kit agreed to taste his drink, he handed him the glass just as Kai showed up. Turning his attention to his friend, the bartender waved as a greeting. “So, you’ve been here for that long and didn’t even come say hi? I’m offended.” Haesoo said in a playful tone. “And it seems like you’ve had quite a few drinks already. Are you guys celebrating?” He mused, turning to Kit again to get feedback on his drink. Thanking him for taking the time to try it. After that, he looked up at Kai once more. “Are you sure you wanna keep drinking, Kai? Make sure to eat something too, you don’t want to wake up with a hangover tomorrow.”  

Haesoo had surprisingly woken up earlier than Min that Sunday. His boyfriend didn’t have to be at the station till later in the afternoon, so he let him sleep. After taking a shower, the younger male put on a black sweater that belonged to the police officer but duo to their similar heights looked great on him, and added matching sweatpants. He went to the kitchen and started making them breakfast. Haesoo was distracted, flipping pancakes as he sang and danced a little to a song playing on his headphones, which was why he was a bit startled when Minsun’s arms envelopped his waist and a soft kiss was placed on his cheek. “Oh, hey. Good morning.” He smiled, turning around to greet Min with a proper kiss. “I’m almost done here!”

Maybe.

M - If I forgive betrayal.

I’ll go ahead and say no. It’d be really hard to forgive a betrayal.

R - Is cheating ever okay?

Cheating is never okay. 

“Are you sure we can’t kidnap one of these guys?” Haesoo asked his friend, while petting one of the beagle puppies that were sitting around him. “There’s so many of them, no one would even notice. And since we’re both relatively busy, we could co-parent!” He was joking, of course. But the puppies were so cute that it was really tempting to just take one home. “I’m really falling in love here. Help.” He chuckled, showing Yeji how another one of the pups was biting on his shoelace. “Okay, maybe not kidnap but I think I’m ready to consider adopting!”

Hm, a little? I can be a bit immature sometimes so, uh, that.

Combing one hand through my hair to fix it, even it’s already styled and sleeping till noon on my day offs.

Haesoo wasn’t really sure what had happened, one minute they were having fun, drinking together and the next Kai looked really sad. “Uh, Kai? Is everything okay?” The bartender asked, concerned. But the other didn’t answer, and to his surprise, he was able to see tears forming on his eyes. “Hey, I don’t know what happened but it’s alright. You’ll be okay.” Haesoo said, trying to sound reassuring before he pulled the shorter male into a hug. “Things will get better soon, you’ll see.”  

I honestly can’t remember? Must’ve been a long time ago.

Haesoo sighed as he looked down at his phone and saw Cammie was calling him. He knew that by now, the news of what went down the night before had probably reached her and she’d be worried. “Hi.” He barely had time to say anything else before her questions came in. If he was okay, what was he thinking, why did he thought it’d be a good idea to act alone. Haesoo calmly answered each one and explained that he was fine, got away with only a few scratches. “Really, you don’t have to worry.” He told her, trying to reassure his friend. “Yeah, you can come see for yourself if you don’t believe me.”

Probably Ollie! He called me yesterday to ask if I wanted to go out for dinner.
