We left one of the troop along the trail with a foot injury. He handled it like a super trooper. But the group had a good grin when he called for a taxi recommended by unnamed web searchle company for our location. We, of course, all listened.

Him: I'm at..road, route, postal address and I would like a lift

Her: uhhhm, postal code, are you in .....England???

Him: well yes

Her: We're in Canada.....

We made it through the first day. We followed the acorns with pretty good success. We're going the opposite direction of most. We ran into about 6 pairs of hikers finishing their hike. All very excited, mostly non british.as with last year, record heat here in UK. The heat is tiring, but cool to see the country side.

Our prepaid digs turned out to be a bust. We ended up moving upscale all the way, moving our gear and still having time to see picadilly circus.

Thanks to the Hadrian eight for not saying anything about the first accommodation. It's a great group that says 'we'll make do' under difficult circumstances. But Annette perceived!

Last year our camino had spiritual and religious meaning for me. I had an inkling of an idea before I left and It ended up being more than I imagined

This year’s trail is not particularly pushed as a spiritual journey. Having experienced the Camino I can’t help but hope this hike will have some spiritual elements.

Perigrinos are told that the camino never ends. Perhaps for some it takes the Camino for them to realize they are on a journey.

I’m hoping we have some great spiritual experiences this year
