My presence on tumblr is likely going to continue to be quiet outside of liking posts and maybe posting the occasional meme. However, I did reserve @staradamstar for future use since I’ve rebranded most of my other socials with that handle anyway.

My experience on this website has always felt very fandom oriented, but as I age closer and closer to the ripe old age of 30, I’ve begun to mostly use social media to keep in touch with the people who I have already met over the internet, as well as to keep an eye on what’s going on in the world and with my interests.

The big reason as to why I never really returned here is because there’s something about the literal dissertations people post and reblog (not to mention the dozens of comments from others that tend to be tacked on to some of them) that made following more than 10 people a chore. Thankfully, it seems that they’ve put in functions to mitigate that, but now the general vibes haven’t been the same since the huge exodus that happened and many of my pals are more active (or reachable) on Twitter, Discord, or Instagram.

Trying another go at my Off the Hook “hologram” concert - this time in 4K (not that I have a 4K display or anything...) and with better camera angles. I also decided to add a couple other extra things in there to experiment with.

I had to cut this down to fit into tumblr’s limit but here’s how streaming “Fly Octo Fly ~ Ebb & Flow” turned out! A lot of work went into both the presentation and trying to figure out how to stream something with such a set up. I’m so ready for safe gatherings! I want more folks to experience this in person (I just need a better projector...).
