Baffled probably didn’t give Takeru’s situation enough credit. He wasn’t just baffled; he was completely confused as he did nothing but stare back at the other. Maybe if he would’ve been more familiar with the internet and its memes, then he would’ve gotten the reference…but this?

“Uhh…Yusaku?” He was positive he was okay, wasn’t he?

Finally, Yukino lets his arms fall to his side, only to bring them up in the traditional thinking pose.  He pondered over his failing at asserting his dominance over Takeru.  Perhaps the fiery teen wasn’t the second weakest link among his social circle?  Yukino already knew who the weakest was ( himself, of course ), so who was the next one?

They were subtle at best, but Takeru’s heard those distinctive clips before; enough for him to tilt his head slightly as he studied the others’ face. This wasn’t who he thought it was, was it? Though if it was, that’d definitely explain the behavior.

“Then, what’s up? Is there…something you’re trying to prove standing like that or something?” 

The only response Takeru received for a good several moments was the narrowing of green hues as Yukino tried to stare him down--though the effect was lessen by the lack of direct eye contact. Why wasn’t this working?  The pictures online always showed the opposing party to be cowering in fear, yet his brother’s friend just looked baffled.

Almost instinctively, Yukino reacts to name usage, and his speech in the next words are cleaner and crisper in delivery.
