Mikan had started warming up some soup she’d found in one of the pantries, she had also gotten out some bread and was cutting it up for them when Komaru finished covering up the cracks. The fire was already crackling warmly, so they didn’t have to worry about that.  “I think there are some blankets in the closet upstairs, you c-could bring them down here and place them on the sofa.”  They would have to find if there was maybe a radio and some batteries too so they could listen to the weather report and see when the storm would slow down.  She still needed to warm some tea for them, then they could cuddle up together under the blankets for warmth and hope the storm passed quickly and without incident. 

An unfortunate thought popped into her head and before she could think about it, she already started asking the question. “Isn’t it true that it-it’s more effective to share body heat when you take your clothes off....” Her voice trailed off as she realized what she just suggested. She sunk into the blankets embarrassed as she tried to back peddle from that. “I mean....I’m sure that’s just one of those things they made up on TV right....forget I said anything.....”
