I did it!! Yesterday was my first 5k run with my company. With about 7000 other people. And it was awesome!! Unfortunately I don’t have a good picture but seriously 10/10 recommend. It was fun, exciting and a bit challenging too. So worth it. Next time I’ll know that I don’t have to be nervous at all.

Weight.
I maintained! Which is bloody incredible if I’m honest. I stayed at my aunts and ate so much food and then went to J’s and had ‘bad’ food. But then had like 4 days really on plan.
I’m so impressed although it’s not really due to hard work or anything. Part of it is luck and just my body doing its thing. Like those weeks you put on weight for no reason.
So over all of summer I’ve put on about 3lbs. Which I’m pretty okay with. Come September I can do that in a week or two.
The next two weeks: From this evening I am ‘off plan’ and on holiday until next Friday. Then I’m going to try very hard to be on plan as much as possible until Thursday - and try and make any ‘damage’ back.
We really need to normalise exercising and eating well for reasons other than losing weight or building huge amounts of muscle. I’ve started going to the gym recently to relieve stress and help me sleep but despite the fact that I fit into shirts and skirts in size small, I’ve been asked if I’m trying to lose weight numerous times.
Here’s a list of non-aesthetic reasons to exercise:
relieves stress
keeps you healthy
improves sleep
can have a positive effect on mental health
makes you stronger and fitter
something to focus on other than work/school/uni

4km run in 35 minutes !
I woke up around 5:45 a.m., went running straight away under the cloudy sky and it was really nice 😄
Then I got home, cooked myself some chocolate banana oatmeal and read a book as I ate my breakfast! Slow mornings are my favorites!

I have only just started to notice the difference and feel it. It is such a great feeling. Don’t give up no matter how many times you fall off cause it has taken me 7yrs to get this shit right.

How long have you been on your weight loss journey?
It allllll started in 2013, but I hit my highest weight in 2014 and I’ve had three distinct “restarts” altogether. My third “restart” was at 200 pounds in 2017.

Ok so 1 of the #1 questions I get asked is “How do I lose weight *insert specific body part here*?”
& honestly the answer is DIET, EXERCISE, & PATIENCE…🙄 I knowwwww it sucks & it’s not what u wanna hear but it’s 100% true…there is no way w/o surgical help to target 1 specific area of the body for fat loss….ur body drops weight where it wants 🤷🏾♀️….my ENTIRE body shrunk 😳…feet, hands, legs, wrist, face, neck, chest, stomach, etc….when we gain weight it isn’t just in 1 specific area…it may seem like it to us but it isn’t…all u can do is focus on the weightloss not the location…Trust the process & Grind for the reward…❤️
