I just finished my second Polymanga exhibit last weekend. Finally got some time and energy to draw a little picture to thank everyone! Thank you to the staff for making this amazing event happen. As mentioned before, this is the first drawing of my second small prints series. I used only one granulated watercolour. Kinda wanna go for a statue-like look. This time I challenge myself to draw wings and hot guys (≧▽≦) Neither is my strong suit but I had fun drawing them. I haven't used a G-nib in a long time. Brings back so many childhood memories. Missing those days drawing with my brother and sister.
噹噹噹～自我挑戰手繪小插畫系列之二「羽翼 + 帥哥」！對我來說兩個都蠻難畫的，挑戰畫舒適圈以外的東西真的學到很多～這次只用了一個沉澱色水彩，想走一種有點大理石雕像的感覺。話說我好久沒有用G筆尖，用的時候想起好多兒時記憶啊啊！ 好懷念小時候跟哥哥姊姊一起畫漫畫貼網點的日子哈哈哈

This picture is a classic example of my tendency of 'overcomplicating things' -ᄒᴥᄒ- I wanted to draw a small, simple portrait with watercolour. Initially, I just wanted to draw a guy, then I thought, hang on, since I'm using the good watercolour paper, might as well try out the special golden watercolour! And then I thought further, Humm...since I'm using the fancy golden watercolour, how about adding a little background? Then I went into a little research to decide what to add. It should be something that would add a bit of texture, not overpowering. Then I added a Taiwanese window scrollwork pattern. In the end, I think it might have taken me almost four hours (in clouding brainstorming/research and a cup of tea) instead of the planned one hour. ¯\_ʘ‿ʘ_/¯ Is there someone like me?
這張畫是我「喜歡把事情複雜化」的典型例子哈哈哈～我一開始只是想畫一張快速人物頭像練習一下水彩，但我又想，既然都要用掉一張純棉水彩紙了，不如順便測試金色水彩，然後我又想，既然都要用珍貴的金色水彩，不然如加點什麼到背景讓畫更有趣一點。接著開始思考該加什麼到背景呢？不能太搶焦，應該要是什麼紋路，要有點特別，於是想說參考台灣鐵窗花好了，畢竟我一直蠻喜歡的～最後，我可能花了快四小時（包含思考、找參考、喝茶休息時間）才完成這張本來說好一小時的畫¯\_ʘ‿ʘ_/¯¯ 有人跟我一樣的嗎哈哈哈？

This is the second illustration of the F set, Flora. I have to draw 18 more pieces until reaching my goal of creating twenty small illustrations by the end of March.
I really like this colour scheme and the slightly rusty texture on the lines. Lately I find it super satisfying to create textures with traditional mediums. I was just talking about watercolours with some friends yesterday. Drawing with watercolours is like a conversation and collaboration with this medium. I really like how it can surprise me. It's very therapeutic ( ´◡‿ゝ◡`)
F系列插畫第二張Flora（第一張是Fungi）！距離達成三月底前畫20張小插畫還有18張，究竟能不能達成呢？
我很喜歡這系列的配色，也很喜歡有點鏽蝕感的線條，最近真的越畫越喜歡實體作畫創造的紋理和質感。昨天跟朋友聊到用水彩作畫的心得，我說用水彩很像是跟它協作和對話，而不是我單方面百分百掌控他它，我很享受這樣創作時所能得到的驚喜，非常療癒。(. ❛ ᴗ ❛.)

小小測試練習畫～
新買了一瓶pilot的墨水六花，順便挖出有一陣子沒用的kakimori 沾水筆。看著墨水在紙上因水份影響而呈現不同色相、明暗和飽和度真是好療癒啊啊啊，♡(ӦｖӦ｡)
墨水是個不得了的坑一直很想踏又不敢踏入～～有人有在蒐集墨水想分享自己最喜歡的顏色嗎？

One of my new year's resolutions for 2026 is 'make more original Illustrations'. My goal is to make 20 illustrations by the end of March. I have a tendency to make things complicated so I've decided, this time, I'll make small illustrations (. ❛ ᴗ ❛.) I've learned how much satisfaction small projects can bring (by making crochet beanies, okay this is another story (≧▽≦)). It's nice to be able to finish something in a day or two, especially when I'm making a new manga/comic, which takes a long time to develop.
This illustration is inspired by the motif 'Fungi'. It's one from a set of three.
今年我也一如往常列了很多新年新希望，其中一個是在三月底前畫20張原創插畫。身為一不小心就把事情越做越複雜/龐大的人，今年想嘗試多一點「精簡」的創作。去年底完成了一些（純屬個人興趣的手工）迷你作品，覺得能在一兩天內完成一個作品的成就感很舒爽療癒！尤其是我現在正在著手進行新漫畫的製作，等到能發表的那一天真的還很久，所以能用額外時間完成這種小插畫很開心(. ❛ ᴗ ❛.) 這張插畫的主題是「菌菇」～

Day 12 Concealed Sword for #swordtember challenge
I’m late to post this one(´Д` ) It took me a while to finish it. I changed my concept a few times…In the end I’m happy with it. I think I just wanted to draw some ravens (≧▽≦) and practice drawing male characters.
Now I have a little back and hand aches, probably will have to take a little break from drawing ಥ_ಥ Hopefully I’ll be fine for Zurich Pop Con so that I can offer on-site commissions again! Finally got this fancy pearl watercolour to play with (and I think Ranni the witch is a good test subject (≧▽≦)). It looks excellent in the light and quite easy to apply to paper. I might offer this as a new commission option in my next comic con if anyone is interested.
