it is seriously so refreshing hearing john and laurie talk about how deductions are taken and how the scores aren’t actually as subjective as they seem, that there are tangible requirements. as opposed to tim and nastia always just saying “i don’t know where the deduction is” or “i don’t agree with that score” and “the judges are just too harsh”. laurie and johns commentary is SO much better for the sport

Ok I’m curious, either reblog or reply, but if you are a gymnastics fan, a) how long have you been a self-identified fan of gymnastics?, and b)can you read cyrillic (even just recognizing names and nothing about russian grammar or anything)?

after giving less and less fucks about gymnastics with every quad, i must say i’ve never cared less???? i blame aliya for retiring, alexei zaytsev for various different reasons, fig for ruining the cop after london olympics and then deciding that it doesn’t suck enough and making it even worse, eug for thinking it’s a good idea to do euros in fucking august, russia for the current situation, vladimir p*tin for existing, his parents for having sex without protection, eteri tuttifrutti even though she has nothing to do with gymnastics but can still ch*ke, ana porgras for retiring 10 years ago which i’m still not over, the us and gb just because, yourkayla skinner for winning an olympic medal and last but not least i blame the entire 2011 european championships for ruining my life.

i think they rated it a C element when she performed it in stuttgart this year.

The only one who doesn’t look like their knees are about to give them black eyes is Simone.
