this comment was worded so well re sullyoon’s injury, i feel like too many people still treat idols like children, and fan spaces would benefit so much from understanding that idols are just as much athletes as they are entertainers. there was so much discourse about this and about yeji’s injury too, when both of them were making decision for themselves as adults and were also still getting the care they needed behind the scenes so that they could keep showing up for what they’re passionate about. (and not to get too much in biomechanics and physical therapy nuances, but more often than not especially for back injuries, complete rest is actually not the best solution)
