Started watching The Terror and frankly idk why everyone is so surprised considering they're on a ship called The Terror. Like what were they expecting to not be terrified?

it’s kind of interesting how many straight women are like “I didn’t know my boyfriend of 3 years was a fascist/misogynist/had shit opinions on every major issue because we never talked about politics” you…..didn’t? not about anything important at all? no ‘how are you feeling about [MAJOR NEWS STORY], babe?’ I understand that a lot of conservative men hide their political leanings because they understand most women have absolutely no desire to be with someone who wants their rights to be peeled away but to not have an important conversation on the world ever? him refusing to talk about it with you should have been your first red flag. then again, idk, I love discussing my point of view on things and listening to the unique opinions of the people in my life so it seems so surface level to have a years long relationship and not realize your partner hates minorities and thinks women are the weaker sex or even notice his suspicious behavior.
