At least in my view, because of Alicent and Criston’s relationship, Gwayne wouldn’t fall in love with Criston, or at most would just genuinely treat him a bit better, with sex being more of a stress-relief concept. As for Criston, I’m not sure either. He just seems very melancholic, almost death-seeking, and deeply starved of love. I don’t know, I just feel a little freaked out by what Ryan said — “maybe the historians missed that we're able to dramatize.” WTF. Did they even meet in the F&B? One was basically guarding the Red Keep and the other was guarding the gates of King’s Landing — what kind of interaction could they even have had? Please don’t scare me like this.
