I can’t stand the people on Reddit who make fun of DK and EH. It genuinely pains my soul to hear some of the shit they spew. They went through harsh bullying. They got called faggots, they got pushed into lockers, and glass bottles thrown at them.
Dylan went through it bad. He was constantly called slurs and harsh names about his height. Fuck, even the teachers picked favorites and made fun of certain students. Eric was bullied because of his minor chest deformity and his height. He got objects and food thrown at him constantly. Jocks would gang up on him after gym class and bully him. Literal shit was thrown on them and these motherfuckers on Reddit have the NERVE to claim they were the main bullies and that they were heartless.
This is exactly why bullying isn’t treated as seriously. This is why there are so many perps who have been bullied. Saying that DK and EH were “popular with lots of friends” or “were the REAL bullies” is disgusting. They were absolutely attacked and people are trying to erase that completely. These chronically online antis are willfully ignorant and they were probably bullied too. At CHS, teachers saw what was going on and they could’ve prevented the outcome. Those two boys needed someone to hear them and help them. They did not deserve to die and they should’ve canceled NBK entirely.
