"I may want to practice with it a bit first before I have a sparring match just so I can get used to the new swords."

"Very true. It would be pointless to have a sparring match if you haven't adjusted to using them. I'll be waiting patiently for that, then. I won't hold back, though, so I hope you're prepared for it by then."

"Go ahead and shoot, can’t guarantee I’ll utter you an answer to you currently though. Ran into an interesting predicament that’s all.” 

"Then I’ll just keep shutting them down. I did it once when I was seven and it held for twenty years. I’ll just do it again.” The hole won’t hurt if there wasn’t anything to cause the hurt. He shook his head at her proposition though, already knowing it wouldn’t be that easy. “I have some nasty demons Milla, just asking me to do that won’t make it happen over night. It’ll take a while.”

Milla gave him a small smile. "You forget who you're talking to, Alvin. I know that. I know it isn't easy, and I know it will take some time. But you know I have the time. I have all the time in this world and more. No matter how nasty your demons or how many times you close yourself up again, I'm here for you." She knelt down on the ground in front of him. "You're underestimating my resolve again, Alvin."

I hope some DR fan goes into the Party City and sees this.

"Go ahead and shoot, can’t guarantee I’ll utter you an answer to you currently though. Ran into an interesting predicament that’s all.” 

Alvin held her gaze for a little bit before his golden eyes drifted downwards towards the ground. He gave a light laugh, one that sounded much more sadder than what a laugh should of sounded like. “That’s just me, always stuck in the past with too much heart.” But her mention of a hole that he couldn’t repair made him look away even more, his hands at this point balling into white-knuckled fists. “What do you mean by that? Hole? There isn’t one. Hasn’t been one for years. It’s easy to not have that when you shut yourself down.” It was only when emotions started to come back that the hole that was supposed to be there started causing problems. At the ending comment, he opened his mouth to talk but immediately went wide-eyed and placed his hands over it before even speaking once more. “You don’t want to know my reply to that statement."  

"Maybe you can't see it, but I can. The hole is there. You can shut yourself down as much as you want, Alvin, but you're human, and as much as you try to kill off your emotions, you can never be rid of them for good. It's part of what being human is about." She gave him a smile. "And I'm prepared to hear whatever opinions you have about me. I'd rather you get everything off your chest. There's no need to keep everything pent up inside you when you can just as easily express it."

"Just fucking terrific.." He mumbled, taking another bite of the takoyaki.

"It seems like something has happened to ruin your day," she stated, trying to keep the drool in her mouth. "Is there some way I could help?"

"Great spirit or not, I don’t plan on rolling over into a grave yet." But the gun was still drawn, aimed directly at Milla’s head. What brought him to do this? He wanted to move forward right? To have people be able to relay on him and trust him. What brought him to snap and hold a weapon to one of the only people who believes in him? This was just a nightmare, it had to be."It’s just a nightmare… just a nightmare. If I shoot you Milla, I mean. It should wake me up from this nightmare right? I wouldn’t do this, I couldn’t—"

Arms fell to his sides at the hug, and he leaned into her just listening to her heartbeat and the words that escaped her lips. If this was a dream, then he would want it to end as soon as possible. If he stayed in this dream, the hollow feeling in his chest would just get worse. If this was reality, he couldn’t bare come to terms that he was about to shoot Milla just as he had shot Leia. His arms wrapped around her and he buried his face into the spirit’s shoulder and hair. “I don’t know. At this point they both sound like bad options.”

"Sometimes we're faced with two equally bad choices. Often times the best path to take is the harder one to bear. So which one would be worse for you?" She held him tighter, pressing her cheek against his neck, listening to the blood pumping through it. "Whichever one you choose to take, I won't turn away from you. No matter what, I'll be here for you." There wasn't even a need to question it. There wasn't even a moment of contemplation. She would help him, no matter what he chose.

"Go ahead and shoot, can’t guarantee I’ll utter you an answer to you currently though. Ran into an interesting predicament that’s all.” 

He sat there, head on his knees and hiding his face. Not even flinching when Milla put her hand on his head and she spoke. “Milla if we were to make a list of all the things that were my fault and the things that were your fault. My list would be longer, I’ll take the blame.” It’s not like he would notice it on that long list anyways. “Though maybe we should add ‘binding Alvin’ to your lists of faults.” He looked up, that mischievous look in his eyes. “Though really, Milla. I knew you were into bondage but I thought you kept that to the bedroom and your books.” Lighten the air with flirting, like that would work. 

Gently, Milla put her hands on his face, holding his gaze to hers. "You're taking things too far, Alvin," she said softly, one of her hands brushing softly into his hair. "The past doesn't matter here, not to me. Right now, in regards to this situation, we're both at fault. I was pushing you for an answer you weren't comfortable with giving me. You're taking everything too much to heart." She moved one hand down and pressed her fingertips softly against his chest. "They're eating away at you, and they're leaving behind a hole that you can't repair yourself. Don't take everything on by yourself... and don't hide it from others." She blushed a little. "And my technique has nothing to do with my own preferences... I'm not even sure what my preferences are..."
