Going Far, Far Away || Dimitri and Faye
“They don’t know what the internet is? That’s really sad…” Faye whispered and nodded as he said he can drive all the way there. “I know…I know it has to be me..” She added as he gave her the reason this would help her forgive herself. She knew it had to be her. When she would complain about it to her friends, they would just tell her that it wasn’t her and that she should forgive herself. But she just couldn’t. The events haunted her dreams every night and there was no way she could forgive herself. But this might. Going to the middle of nowhere with someone who understood.
“That’s…interesting…How are they different?” She asked out of curiosity. Faye never knew there were other kinds of vampires, apart from the ones she had known in Mystic Falls. The ones who were undead, and needed blood to survive, and needed a daylight ring to walk around in sunlight. “You don’t have to answer me if you don’t want to talk about it…but did you forgive yourself? Or do you still have the guilt..and all that…?” She asked as Dimitri started to drive away from her house.
Dimitri shrugged. "It's the way they live," he explained. "They never had a need for it. They have books, though," he murmured. "Their days revolve around doing their chores, usually around noon, and then going to town to sell their crops, etc, before having family time. They live simple lives," he explained. He gave Faye a soft smile, before glancing back to the road. It had took him ages to realize that the blame couldn't be put on anyone but himself, and that he was the only one that could forgive the acts that happened.
"Well..Moroi are mortal vampires. They drink blood, but they don't kill their feeders. No pain, either, their saliva has this weird sort of drug in it that puts the person into a stupor. They can all influence a element, too--water, air, earth, fire, and...spirit," he mused. "They can go out in the daylight, but it makes them pretty uncomfortable," he explained. "The Strigoi are a bit closer to the vampires here. They're cruel and evil, and they love to kill," he said quietly. At her next question, he was quiet for a long moment, staring at the road. He furrowed his brow slightly, giving a long sigh. "I'm...Still in the process of forgiving myself."
Sparring || Dimitri and Caroline
“He was one of the first vampires, turned by a spell. His mother had had an affair with a werewolf and therefore he had the gene. He’s a hybrid. That’s why he’s so strong.” She explained, trying to make the story as simple as possible as to not confuse him.
She paused to consider his question, playing with the corner of her napkin. “I’m not entirely sure. But… I think that I bring out a what humanity he has left in him. Maybe one day my rejection will be too much for him. But for now he just seems dead set on trying to win me over. Although he hasn’t tried anything since the other day.”
Dimitri nodded. "So strange," he furrowed his brow. "A vampire-werewolf. Do the werewolves actually...turn into wolves? Or are they the strangely shaped ones from legends?" He questioned, slightly picturing the werewolves from Harry Potter.
He stared at her intently, raising a brow. "But it's obviously not enough to keep it around," he murmured. "Hopefully he gets over you soon, and leaves you be," he nodded. "He has strange ways of trying to win you over," he frowned. "Trying to kill you?" he shook his head.
When their food came, he licked his lips, leaning back against his seat. "Great," he said, a happy note to his tone as he took one of the fries.

Going Far, Far Away || Dimitri and Faye
Faye nodded and smiled lightly at the dhampir and started to walk towards the car. When his hand reached for her bag, she let him help her with it. It wasn’t that heavy, but he was just trying to be nice. “Five hour drive? You can start driving for a bit and then we can switch? Otherwise, okay. Sounds good.” She replied as they reached the car. “No electricity?” The brunette asked, with a small frown, wondering how she’d cope. Faye… This is the only way that will help you. You have to deal with it. Having no electricity can’t be that bad, can it? She heard a voice inside her say.
She listened tentatively and raised an eyebrow, slightly confused. “How’s this going to help with the whole forgiving thing?” She asked as she got in to the passenger seat next to him. “We’re just going to a deserted society like place…How’s that gonna help with this?” Faye asked, confused. Well, then..I guess there’d be no use for this… The brunette thought to herself and got her phone out of her back pocket, checking for its battery. It was almost dead anyway. As far as she could remember, she didn’t pack a charger, which didn’t really matter, since it would have no use. “Just curious, how did you end up in Mystic Falls? What was your reason for coming here?” She asked, trying to start up a conversation.
Dimitri paused slightly, making a face. "I can drive the whole time; it's not that big of a deal," he assured. He liked to drive, it was just one of the ticks with him. It made him have a little more control that he could handle, and make sure nothing went wrong. At her question, he shrugged. "They have things like a fridge, though. So their meat doesn't go bad," he mused. "And I think they might have indoor plumbing. I'm not positive, though," he shrugged. "But there's no television or computers. Most of these guys don't even know what the Internet is." he explained.
Dimitri started up the car, pulling out of the driveway and starting down the road. "It'll put us more in touch with nature," he offered. "No distractions. You get to think about a lot when you're doing these kinds of chores. The more you think about it, the more you'll come to terms that there was nothing you can do. " he murmured. "No one else can take away what you feel, Faye. It has to be you" his voice softened.
When she asked about how he came to Mystic Falls, he shrugged slightly. "I came to study the vampires here," he explained. "The Guardian Headquarters caught word of them, and sent me to see what they were like. They're a lot different than the Moroi and Strigioi," he grimaced. "I've given them all the information I can, with this kind of situation. They know I'm going to Ohio, but not the distinct reason. They trust me."
Sparring || Dimitri and Caroline
“Well, likewise.” She smiled, tilting her head up to look at him properly. “Oh, he umm… Well, my friends killed his brother and he was upset…” At his look she stopped beating around the bush. “He stabbed me and bit me. He’s part wolf and wolf bites are fatal to vampires. The only cure is his blood. He was going to let me die. But he couldn’t.” Her eyes flickered downwards.
“Good choice.” She grinned and thanked the waitress as she moved away to get their food.
Dimitri paused. "Wait. He's a vampire...and part wolf?" he gave her a strange look. "But wolves are deadly to vampires. Isn't that contradictory?" he shook his head. "You guys are all weird," he muttered, making a face. "Well...I'm glad he didn't let you die," he said softly.
He passed the waitress the menu, offering a smile and a little thank you. Turning his gaze back to Caroline, he raised a brow. "So, you don't return his feelings. This Klaus guy probably doesn't like that, right? How do you get away from that?"
Sparring || Dimitri and Caroline
“What are you, my conscience now?” She grinned playfully and nudged him. “Don’t worry. After what he did the other day, I’m really not sure I could forgive him.” She trailed off as they walked into the bar.
Sitting at the booth, Caroline didn’t bother looking at the menu. She already knew what she wanted, and besides she had read it that many times she probably knew it back to front. As the waitress came over, Caroline ordered her favourite and then waited for Dimitri to make his order.
"Perhaps," he laughed lightly, looking down at her. "I like you. I don't want to see you get hurt," he said simply, giving a little shrug. "What did he do the other day?" he frowned.
Looking over the menu, he furrowed his brow slightly, reading over the different items. "Screw it." he said finally. "I think I'll just get a shake and fries, too. Chocolate for me, though"
Sparring || Dimitri and Caroline
“I don’t know, revenge or something. I was just a pawn in her ‘game’ against the Salvatores, who are my friends. Plus to get back at Elena.” She shook her head at his second question. “I went through a stage, where I though maybe I did. He’s always so different with me. Sweet and charming. But then he snaps and I remember that at the end of the day he’s still the bad guy, and he’s hurt people I care about.”
“No, they really shouldn’t.” She smiled back at him and then nodded. “Fine. If you insist.” She grinned.
Dimitri frowned. "I see.." he mused. He really didn't; it seemed like a complicated web of situations. A had-to-be-there sort of situation. "I know what you mean--guys like that, at least," he told her. "Just keep reminding yourself that he is a bad guy, and at the end of the day, he's not good for you," he counseled.
The man laughed, holding the door open for her. "I do. Now lets order," he chuckled, moving into a booth.
Sparring || Dimitri and Caroline
“Nope. I was in a car accident and Damon gave me blood to heal me. Then that night a vampire named Katherine came in and smothered me in my hospital bed. I didn’t even know anything about vampires, I was just collateral damage of a fight.” Caroline told the story as offhand as possible, trying to distance herself from returning to the memories. “As for Klaus. Well… he’s in love with me.”
“We have tried to kill him, multiple times. But he’s the strongest being on earth. Pretty much invincible.” She nodded at his offer and smiled back. “Now there’s a gentleman. Don’t worry, I ate this morning.”
Dimitri frowned softly. "I see.." he murmured. "Why would she smother you, though? If you don't mind me asking," he told her gently. As she mentioned Klaus being in love with her, he blinked a bit in surprise. "But you don't return the feelings?" the Russian assumed. If she did, then she wouldn't have kissed him back, right?
"No one should have that much power," Dimitri said gravely. Laughing, he rolled his eyes. "You just told me you wanted a milkshake and fries. I'm paying."

Sparring || Dimitri and Caroline
“We’ve just kind of gotten used to him being around. My little group has a strange relationship with him really. One week we’re uneasy alliances to defeat some bigger, badder evil and the next everyone’s trying to kill each other. Gives me a headache. Luckily I think as long as I stay relatively out of their plans to hurt him then I’ll be okay. He won’t kill me.” She murmured as they stepped around a corner, the Grill now in sight.
"Is he the one that...You know," he nodded to her. "Changed you?" he questioned. Dimitri frowned a bit. "He sounds really unstable. Have you guys ever thought about teaming up to go at him?" he wondered. He looked over to her and nodded. "Don't get yourself killed; you be careful too, Caroline." he told her.
As the Grill came in sight, he looked it over slightly, before nodding. "Let's go. It's on me," he promised, giving her a soft smile. "And lets try to forgo the paper cut this time." Dimitri nudged her.
Going Far, Far Away || Dimitri and Faye
Faye wandered around her house, checking if she had left anything. Her suitcase was on the floor, with clothes, shoes, and few other necessities in it. She had her phone in the back pocket of her jeans, and she was wearing a black shirt with a navy blue hooded-jacket over it. She was going to leave this town with Dimitri, someone who understood her. They bonded closer the last time they met, and agreed to leave, so that they could try to figure things out. Try to forgive themselves with the help of one another. Ever since Adam had helped her with the spell, the brunette had constantly lived in the guilt that was haunting her, mostly in her sleep, but recently she had met Dimitri. He was the dhampir who threatened to kill her when she had lost control as a new born vampire, but she had learned that he was just like her, in a way. Constantly living in guilt of what he had done as a Strigoi and not being able to forgive himself for it. When the two met again, they instantly clicked, because of the similarity of understanding the other. She could talk about not being able to forgive herself, and he would understand. Not ramble on about how it wasn’t her.
After a few moments of thinking about her decision and looking around the house she lived in, she threw a few more items in her suitcase, and zipped it closed. With a small sigh, she switched the lights off in her room and went downstairs, just when she heard a car pulling over in the driveway. That must be him. She thought to herself and pulled on a pair of black velvet boots. It was February, and it wasn’t as cold as before, but it was still cold. The brunette opened the door and smiled lightly at the tall man leaning against the wall and stepped outside, which caused her hair to blow in front of her face. Tucking the strands of hair behind her ear, Faye looked up at him, her head bent back, and asked, “Have you been waiting long?” A quick look out in the driveway showed that he had his car and they were ready to go. “I guess we can go now? Where are we going?” She asked.
Dimitri looked down at her as she opened the door, instantly straightening up out of habit. The cold was easily reflected off of his duster, buttoned tightly across his chest. "Hey," his deep voice murmured, tinged slightly with his Russian accent. At her question, he shook his head, eyes sweeping around the area slightly. "No, not too long. Just got here," he promised. A hand reached out to take her bag, nodding his head towards the car, indicating that she start heading towards it.
"Yeah, it'd be better if we left sooner rather than later. It's a five hour drive, give or take." he offered. Long strides made him arrive at the car quickly, and he opened the trunk for her bag (whether he had given it to her or not). When it was firmly placed, he closed it up, clearing his throat. "There's a small community up in Ohio. It's..." he paused. "Well, Amish." he mused. "There are dhampirs there that blend into the humans, and work the land," he explained.
"There's a phone in the town center, used for emergencies. But other than that, we'll be cut off. The family I contacted is allowing us to stay in their home graciously; and we'll help them out with their daily chores. Church is... Not required, but we'll be better accepted if we go," he offered, sliding into the driver's seat.
Sparring || Dimitri and Caroline
“It’s Niklaus Mikaelson, The original hybrid. Be careful keeping tabs on him. People rarely get past him. Plus he’s completely invincible. Nothing can kill him as far as we know so far. ” She rolled her eyes, thinking of the hybrid. “I think you’d know if he knew about you. I really doubt he’d just leave you guys be. Besides, when Klaus Mikaelson wants something, he doesn’t stop until he gets it.” She murmured, sort of referring to the way he pursued her. “Yes, it’s real. And really inconvenient at that.” She said, elbowing him playfully as he failed at holding back a laugh.
"Niklaus Mickaelson. Doesn't sound familiar," he mused. "Which I suppose is a good thing." He nodded to her warning, furrowing his brow. "We'll be very careful," he murmured. He pulled out his phone, typing out a quick message, before sliding it into his bag again. "I don't like the sound of this guy. And if he's as strong as you say he is..." he shook his head. "I worry."
Dimitri is both Rose’s opposite and, at the same time, kind of her match.

“Magic. There mother was a powerful witch and after a loosing a child she wanted to protect the others. So she made them immortal, not know what repercussions there would be. Like the blood lust, not being able to go in the sun, having to be invited into homes…” She rattled off the story Elena had told her once. “Hard to say. Klaus is… unpredictable. But one thing he doesn’t like is being taken by surprise. He needs to know everything. I’m actually surprised he doesn’t know about you already.”
Dimitri listened to the story, furrowing his brow. "I see," he murmured. "Honestly, I don't know how the Moroi came about. I think they were always just...there?" He shrugged. "Dhampirs came around while the Moroi still mingled with the humans." he mused. As she talked about this 'Klaus', he frowned. "What's his last name? That way the Guardians can sort of keep tabs, if he's a danger," he told her. "Maybe he does know about us? We've been around long enough."
He then paused, lips twitching. "Wait, so the 'being invited into a home' thing is real for you guys?" he could stop a laugh.

She laughed and shook her head. “No definitely not. My friends and I are the most friendly, although even a couple of them are a little more… unpredictable. They’re a lot older than me.” She pursed her lips in thought, wondering how much she should tell him. “The other is the Original family. Klaus, Rebekah and sometimes Elijah - if he’s in town. They’re the first vampires of our kind, they’re a thousand years old. I wouldn’t go poking around them too much if I were you. If they discover your world and what you are it could be disastrous.”
Dimitri's face grew somber, and he nodded his head. He had taken down old Strigoi, sure. But if it was hard to wrestle around with Caroline, even he knew he wouldn't be able to stand up against those others. "I see," he murmured. "How did they become vampires, though? With no one to change them?" Dimitri wondered, looking over to her. "And if they find out about us--he Moroi and Dhampirs, you think they'd go after us?"
“We can go without food forever. It’s just fun to eat.” She grinned and looked at him over her shoulder, raising her eyebrows. He caught up with her, falling in step at her side.
Her head cocked in thought as she rattled of how many vampires she knew in town. There’s around six that I know of. But there’d be more probably, and they come and go.”
((Sorry, was eating dinner c:))
Dimitri chuckled softly. "Well, I agree about it being fun to it." he stepped with her, enjoying the feel of the slight breeze on his heated skin.
"Six," he repeated, looking around. "And are they all as friendly as you are?" Dimitri wondered, furrowing his brow.
