Little Boy In The Grass - AURORA
In where two sick kids become best friends but one of them gets more sick as time goes by.

I will tell you the story about the little boy I found in the grass
Remus remembers sitting outside the small hospital, his parents - Lyall and Hope - were inside talking about some things to help with after his full-moons.
He remembers how he would see a small girl - probably a year or so younger than him - would walk in with her mother and siblings.
She was the only one getting treated, but how would he know? He was only there once a month.
Tired, solace, he told me he could hear the children wanting to pass
Remus remembers when he would come home for summer, Sirius and James would come with him. Just got a day or two.
They played football outside, passing the ball for a few minutes before actually playing a game.
He remembers seeing B/N and S/N outside, laughing, having a great time. While their younger sister sat inside, looking out the window.
A big frown sitting on her face, either from her pain or the look of children having a good time.
Sounds of laughter in the air
During Christmas he would walk around town, looking for a good Christmas presents for his family.
Remus spotted Y/N and S/N doing the same.
The youngest L/N holding up a teddy, a Santa hat sitting on his head, as S/N placed it back down. Saying they didn't have that much money.
That's when Remus found out that they barely when outside anymore.
Of course Remus would go out the random time at night - a week or two before Full-moon.
He noticed Y/N doing the same, she sat outside, with a cigarette in her hand.
That's when they first made eye-contact.

Now when Remus would go out, Y/N invited him to go with a walk with her.

She explained to him her condition, epilepsy, her dad had it and died from it.
She never liked going out as kid, it was because she always had her pack with her, small fidget toys to keep her distracted.
That caused for her to gain stares from other kids.
That night Y/N slept on his shoulder, outside his house.
Let them run from the violence
Remus remembers the day, like it was yesterday.
He remembered how an ambulance rushed down the street.
As men went inside, Remus ran outside, when Y/N' body was carried inside the van.
"Remus, pet. Let's go back to bed." Hope called out for her son, a dressing gown wrapped around her body.
"Mum, Y/N. She's-" Hope didn't let him finish the sentence as she wrapped her arm around his shoulders bringing him back inside.
The world is way too cold and bright for their eyes
Remus made his plan to get the Christmas teddy for Y/N. The one S/N had to place back.
He placed it into a box, with a packet of sweets she had offered him while out on their walks.
Remus told Lyall his plan. He drove his son to the hospital.
Little boy runs beside them
Remus walked into her room, seeing as her heart monitor beeped, it echoed through the empty room.
He sat down beside her, placing his hand on Y/N'.
"I know you can't here me," Remus took a deep breath, "But I need you to wake up. Please."
"Just give me a sign that you're OK. Anything, OK?" Remus sighed, "I have a surprise for you. I'm sure you'll love it."
As they take his hands and jump to the sky
Remus looked at where their hands sat, "I know, we barely know each other, but you're my best friend, OK?"
"I told Prongs and Padfoot so much about you. They think you're amazing, they really want to meet you."
Remus realised his mistake, "Shit, their names are Prongs or Padfoot, its just James Potter and Sirius Black."
He let's out a small laugh, "Potter's a werid last name, but so is mine."
Still today you hear them
Remus remembered the scariest and saddest day of his life.
Her heart monitor started beeping crazy.
And no one was there, except Remus and the small box - of course the doctors but they were outside.
Remus eyes widen. He looked over at Y/N before leaving the room, shouting for a doctor.
Finally I am over it, over it oh
That's it. She died. He had no one to talk to a one am.
Remus didn't have any sweets to eat when out for a walk.

The small box sat on his dresser, mocking him, laughing at him while he mourned his friends death.
When will my healing come?
But it happened again, at only twenty-one he had lost all his close friends; James, Lily and Peter. Sirius now in Azkaban for the deaths of three.
And James and Lily' son away to Petunia and Vernon, but he should be with Remus, with someone that James and Lily trust trusted

In his new house, the box still sat mocking him, laughing at him as he came home with scars littering his body.
He didn't want to throw away the box. It is was for someone special, someone he loves loved dearly.
Someone he knows knew, someone he trusts trusted
A now adult Remus sat at the end of his bed, looking into the abyss.
He stood up, walking to the dresser the box sat on, he opened it.
A small note fell off the lid.
When will my healing come along?
Get better already! I need my walking buddy again, especially nowadays.
While you were resting Sirius moved in with James, they're the boys you saw two summers ago.
They want to meet you so badly, like really.
I'm sure you and Lily would be great friends, she doesn't live far actually, maybe we could walk to hers next?

Remus went over to Y/N' grave, he ate half the sweets - even though they were out of date, he couldn't care less - leaving half for the grave.
He noticed the grave was dirty as if no one had visited it in years. He wasn't invited to the funeral.
There was one, you were sure to hear M/N and her children crying down the street during it.
He sat down the sweets, looking at the teddy, then back the headstone, he sighs, holding back his tears.
A few dropping, he wiped it away with the back of his hand. He kissed the teddy' nose before settling it down beside the sweets.
He sat there, finally letting the tears drop.
"I need my walking buddy back, Y/N." That was his choice of words, before kissing his hand and placing it on the headstone.
