Caretaker covers whumpee with a soft, heavy blanket. They take two of whumpee's fingertips and caress those with gentle and cautious touches, never daring to move past a single knuckle, not knowing how whumpee would react.
Whumpee yearns to be enveloped in the caretaker's arms, to be held close and told in soothing whispers that everything is ok. But they don't know how to ask. Whumpee thinks such requests would invite potential judgement. They're too afraid of losing the caretaker's attentions.
