I’ve stumbled my way through life,

making mountains out of maladies,

messes out of minor inconveniences,

when in actuality the only obstacle

blocking the path was my worry

over things I could never control,

finding the simplest of solutions:

to pause…

take a breath…

and release my insufficient graspon the chaos and imagined woes,

watching with disbelief

as the mountainous mirage
