My ludum dare 35 entry SHAPE SHIFTER. For the theme of shapeshift.
You shift the shapes around with the mouse. Get it? Shapeshifting? I feel clever.

watch out, the poison mushrooms are after you
and also that one guy who keeps shooting me
Taking a short haitus from the pokemon project to finish an old dungeoncrawler prototype from back in december.
Inspired by Sword of Fargoal mostly. Wanted to make the game in a sort of low-fi science fantasy setting.
currently building an in-engine map editor for the project. I decided to do this for a couple reasons:
one, this is the first time I’m trying to build one, and I wanted to just because it seemed interesting.
the other is because Game Maker’s room editor is annoying.
finally I wanted to be able to tweak things while in-game for testing purposes.
map system saves the giant 2d array of tiles to an ini. not very complicated at the moment.
i might end up not even using this
overworld progress?

here are a couple of nifty gifs from a Pokémon engine I've been making.
all the stats and calculations are correct as of gen V, and i have all the moves from gen I as well as most of the Pokémon from gen I. The credit for the player and overworld tiles goes to my friend Miles.
i dont really know where i plan on taking it from here.
ask me about the source and i’ll probably give it. it’s made in Game Maker Studio. i’ll probably post the source once sometime aswell.
I just competed in Ludum Dare. a weird online competition where you have 48 hours to build a game in the theme. Ludum Dare 34's theme was “growing” as well as “2-button controls”. for this being my first one, i made something better than i thought i would.
My entry is an experiment of a few ideas i’ve been tossing around for a while - i’m calling it “outgrow”. It's a competitive plant growing game.
you’re probably asking yourself what the heck is a competitive plant growing game, and why would i ever want to play such a thing.
well, i can answer your first question but not your second, unless you wanna come over here and tell that to my face you little punk.
each plant is composed of alive nodes (the colored ones) that generate sunlight each turn. then on your turn, you use your sunlight to build more nodes branching off of your alive ones.
each node casts a shadow. if a node is in a shadow it dies.
kill all of your opponent's nodes to win.
play it please?
latest screenshots from my latest project, Escape from Eden.
it’s been a while since i lasted posted progress on this, but that doesn’t mean i havn’t been working on it.
use your bombs and ropes to climb up to the top of the world and escape the planet in your ship while collecting powerups and ores and fighting monsters and things along the way.
here are a few screenshots from a project i’ve been working on the past little while. It’s about exploring and climbing procedurally generated floating islands and gathering resources.
this is still in very early development - expect it to change drastically every time you see progress posted.
These are some screenshots from an old puzzle-platformer game I made called Reversal. It’s focus is gravity flipping. There are 13 levels.
I spent a couple months on this project, and I hope you like it!
