People on Twitter (and elsewhere) love to say "retard" and "low IQ" now and I'm not only talking about nazi accounts but just your average account. It came out of nowhere just this year too. Really annoying.
I've been telling people that IQ is perhaps the most normalized example of eugenics and the pseudoscience that is psychometrics
Anything that is based in IQ is bogus because IQ is simply fake data
It's kinda like phrenology, the Victorian age pseudoscience that tried to determine personality traits and mental strengths or weaknesses by skull size.
Ultimately phrenology only proved to be true when the skull was below a certain total size, under which people started being noticably impaired the smaller the skull was
Similarly very very high or very very low IQ probably does actually indicate something meaningful, but for the 80% in the middle of that curve it literally doesnt matter either way.
