Ave!
Traveler, knowledge-seeker, knight, fellow mage — whomever you may be, you are welcome in this level of the towers of the internet. Here you may expect to see:
1. Updates on my real life internship. I am interning as a bookbinder for a non-profit, therefore, here you'll see my bindings, struggles with glue, and perhaps more.
2. Other crafts I may do. I am planning on adding wood working on my roster, but we will see how that goes.
3. My treacherous path through teaching. I volunteer as a teacher of Russian grammar for 2nd graders. It is as daunting as it sounds, yet one of the most fulfilling titles I've ever held.
4. Memes, random thoughts, complaining. A lot of complaining, for I love to do so.
Overall, the point of this blog is to romanticize a rather mundane life. I am just acting out a role. My wizard's name is Grimm Awlson, yes he has lore, yes I might hint at it. On a further note, I would like to mention that most of my images (especially for memes) will be sourced from Pinterest.
My main blog is @elks-eye
Now that the introduction has concluded, let's talk rules:
This is first and foremost a safe space. I will not tolerate hate of any kind. Here are some NO's
1. No politics. Fictional politics will be tolerated, do not bring real life issues into this.
2. No terfs, no homophobia, no transphobia. Once again, this is a safe space for everyone. If you don't have anything nice or funny to say, don't say anything.
3. No hate speech. Towards any group that isn't fictional.
Now that that's out of the way, here are some things I'd encourage on this blog.
1. Worldbuilding. Be a wizard, a knight, a goblin if you please. Wreak fictional havoc in comments and reblogs, have fun.
2. Romanticizing your own experiences. Have something heavy to say? Say it like a wizard. It'll paint the situation in a different light, and perhaps make it easier to deal with.
3. Offer advice and support. Be kind to people.
4. Make jokes. My own sense of humor may be depreciating so I strongly encourage using tone indicators (like "/j"). I will use them myself as often as I feel needed.
That's all for now, have fun!
