MOURN .

          “     well---      i might have said something along those lines, yes--   “     grim found himself explaining, however, atypical from his usual demeanor of calculated words, stumbling over his explanation. this only triggered a hint of a humiliated grimace to perk across his lips, looking away from cupid, only for newfound surprise, SHOCK even, to shoot across his face near instantaneously at his words.

          “     OH,     my dear guardian of love,    “   words began, mouth agape, and even a hint of a subtle grin threatening his expression,   “   is this some cruel trick you’ve played on my heart this evening ?  oh... my ---   “   chuckling  ??? the grim reaper, chuckling  ???  whatever was left of his heart was pounding and throbbing as a metronome would, looking downwards at cupid with a newfound warmth.  

                                            “  thank you,   cupid.  “
