just like. for the crowd.
here's the sexual content guidelines saying nudity is ok
here's the bit from the termination email telling you you can make a new account as long as it doesn't break the same rule
here's the guidelines for what counts as explicit (not mature, aka grounds for content deletion)
here's the section telling us that you will always be able to respond to content getting flagged as explicit (lie)
here's the section where it says you will be notified when your accunt gets terminated, and that the appeals are reviewed by humans (both lies)
and by the way, posting a single thing against ToS isn't supposed to be grounds for deletion,
THE RUMORS ARE TRUE, COMMISSIONS ARE BACK!
Help my wife and I afford our first home, just send in an email to subit your ideas! (old timey, I know)
I will most likely be working on new Substar content and bringing back my ko-fi to help cover our down payment. Look forward to it!
lesbians making out video but with reduced music so u can hear them making out sloppy style. happy pride! đłď¸âđđ
awww the like button turns into a rainbow when you press it! that's so cute...hey staff what's with all the trans women you keep nuking?
i think we should be ridiculing them more for this. you don't get to try and go all "queer website" when your staff likes to go on nuking sprees targeting the trans fem users
would be remiss not to mention that the rainbow notably straight up just removed the trans flag colors from it. like theyâre gone. itâs the progress flag minus the trans flag colors.
thatâs not the whole flag, now is it
hey staff what the fuck
hey staff don't you think you're being too on-the-nose
HEY STAFF DONT YOU THINK YOU'RE BEING TOO ON-THE-NOSE

hi... due to my poor (worsening, it seems.) health situation i had another crappy month where i've gotten through nowhere near enough of my work and i am in a really awful spot financially, which is to say right now i can't afford rent, pain medicine (and i am in dire need of it right now đ), phone bill, or groceries. i have no choice but to ask for help if it's not a problem and isn't going to put you in a bad spot financially in turn.
i need $700 overall (usd) to have all of that taken care of, but anything, even a little bit, helps and lets me eat and not be in a ton of pain all day and thus hopefully sort things out as best i can. i also really appreciate sharing.

me when i listen to victims
these people's idea of justice involves:
gangstalking an autistic trans woman
divulging her private sexual behaviors constantly
relitigating all her actions forever as "accountibility"
continuing to do so even when an actual victim of said trans woman's behavior speaks out against this constant relitigation
it was already obvious to literally anyone that this wasn't ever about justice for victims but now they have a victim who wants them to stop and they're like "nah". because gangstalking trans women is their hobby
she told you directly that continuing in this behavior, continuing to punish a trans woman and doing so by wielding her experiences as a cudgel against her is retraumatizing and you can't even fucking apologize for this. because gangstalking trans women is just so fucking important
physically incapable of admitting that their actions have hurt the lives of real people. completely incapable of viewing themselves as anything but like, idk, fucking righteous warriors of justice. britts-galaxy-brain (pizzagate twerf) in particular operates on a necessity to completely downplay the stated traumas of every person involved. their hurt isn't *that* real, or like, not important in the face of making the trans woman suffer forever for what she did, or something. even when the one person who was hurt by her is begging them to stop.
it was already obvious to everyone who follows me but this has always been about tormenting patricia taxxon no matter what
continuing with the pattern of calling it "sending hate" when the trans woman has opinions on how people treat her and doesn't stay quiet and convenient
In Praise of a Classic Text: Understanding Comics - Part II
Last week I posted about Scott McCloudâs Understanding Comics - which, among many interesting arguments, postulates that when you look at a realistic drawing of a face, you see another, where when you look at a more simply drawn cartoon image - a smiley face, Charlie Brown, Minnie Mouse - you see yourself. I talked about the implication of that for certain kinds of fan art, and today I want to talk about a second interesting implication - specifically in terms of fannish identification with a character.
Interesting implication the Second: Thereâs a great book called How To Be Gay by David Halperin - (I did a Fanhackers post about it a couple of years ago) - in which he argues that his gay male students seemed to enjoy coded queer works - e.g. Broadway musicals, Hollywood melodramas, The Golden Girls, Steel Magnolias, Judy Garland and Adele, etc. - more than they enjoyed what Halperin calls âgood gay writing,â - that is, âfiction about gay men written by gay men that gave voice to the gay male experience.â As I wrote in my Halperin post (and as I wrote about at length in my article, âSlash/Drag: Appropriation and Visibility in the Age of Hamiltonâ in Boothâs Companion to Media Fandom and Fan Studies) this makes perfect sense to me as a fangirl - many female fans find more to identify with in Spock or Mulder or Sherlock or Aziraphale than they do in female characters in serious literary novels who are dealing realistically with the problems that they face. That sounds likeâŚa whole boatload of no fun, to be honest. (Personal sidebar: Do I want to read a serious literary novel about the travails of a female, middle-aged English Professor like myself? I do not. FWIW I basically had to be forced to watch even fluff like The Chair, and only because I knew everyone would ask me about it. I also personally donât enjoy an academic AU, YMMV. But that doesnât mean that I donât find places of strong identification in the TV I watch and the fic that I read - itâs just not straight-up literal like that.)Â
But I think itâs McCloud who gives us the WHY of this phenomenon when he talks about how realist faces read as âanother,â while more simply drawn faces provoke identification. Thereâs a way in which âgood gay writingâ - the voice of the gay experience - can feel disappointingly NOT YOUR EXPERIENCE - because of course there is not a single gay experience, and what you are likely to read is distorted by time and distance and age. I see it with my students, for whom the gay experience of the 1950s, 1960s, 1970s might as well be ancient Egypt - (or may be less familiar than ancient Egypt, Egypt kind of being its own fandom.) Anyway a lot of gay writing doesnât speak to their problems or their issues, and while theyâre interested in it, they donât identify with it - and that can be really hard when youâre young and queer and feeling isolated, to feel like you donât even relate to the people you are supposed to relate to. But in an odd way, the cartoons - the coded figures - donât go out of style the same way. And they are places of broad identification over generations: We can all be Mama Rose or Dr. Frank N. Furter or sing âI Will Surviveâ â because itâs a metaphor (for being closeted, for being monstrous, for surviving, etc.) It doesnât age the same way as, for instance, the novels of Ethan Mordden or Edmund White or plays like The Boys in the Band or Torch Song Trilogy. Thereâs a great passage in Stacy Wolfâs book, A Problem like Maria: Gender and Sexuality in the American Musical, where Wolf, a lesbian, talks about driving cross-country in a convertible singing, âMy Man,â (âCanât HelpâŚLoving That Man of Mine!â) which, she claims, provoked her to write her book about lesbian readings of the musical. In short, Steven Universe can do work that âgood gay writingâ cannotâand so can fandom, with its cartoon heroes, animated and live action both.

even if that random trans woman did do all that I don't care lol
very funny that literally just riffing on a common tumblr joke about women, but with an especially marginalized group of women, has people months later coming to me like "oh yeah well what about what THIS trans woman you've never met did?" and the answer is still I don't care lol
if I had posted the same thing without the word "trans" the population of this website would go "true" and then keep scrolling
TMEs see the words "trans woman" and they fly into a bloodthirsty rage
you'll feel like a total dipshit train wreck and no matter what some girl is gonna see you and think "role model". you can't kill yourself you have to go be clocky in the gas station so a 14 year old can have the trajectory of her life altered forever
as annoying as it is to work fast food, at my previous job one time a kid recognized the theta delta pin on my hat and was so fucking excited because i was the first other therian they had ever encountered offline.
"hey....are you a therian?" "yeah!" "what kind of animal?" "eh, some kinda dog" "đ˛đ im like a wolf coyote hybrid" "that's fuckin awesome"
to be weird is to cast lifelines all around you

what really drives me nuts is that like. this happens an average of x times per year as a visibly weird person, but we only get made aware of it a small fraction of the time. you can't kill yourself you have to be clocky in the gas station.
Being clocky when i was working as a barista was one of my big joys. Being clocky when i was teaching high schoolers how to play the marimba was my reason for being for half a decade. It sucks how scared I am to leave the house I live in now. But I still need to try and be clocky at the grocery store. I wish i had a job to be clocky at. Being visibly me is one of the most radical acts I'm capable of, and I hope that one day we live in a world where it isn't radical at all.
that's exactly what I was feeling when I wrote this. we all find ways to defy our fear, love is an excellent motivator.
I love going out being clocky. I love seeing a young queer as a cashier. Usually I'm wearing a mask so I imagine folks can't quitr tell until I speak. I almost always complimented on my hair by these folks too. I love being able to thank them and give them a compliment in return.
around a month ago i saw an older trans woman who was probably like 60+ with a cis woman who seemed to be her supportive wife who took her clothes shopping as customers in my store and she seemed so happy to see me there and it melted my heart so much. if you are trans your existence is so important for someone even if it doesnt feel like it. i hope shes doing alright
was also having a terrible day a bit over a week ago but a super pretty trans woman came into the store and we talked a bit after a mutual i know what you are look and she brightened my day a lot and probably doesnt even realize it. i really hope i see her again
My trail cam picked up some weird ass ghost shit?? Is this a prank??

âEurope is very old and America is very big.â
Colonial America, maybe.
The way Europeans talk about North America when they say it reveals everything about the way they think.
To them, history here didnât start until they arrived. Not until the so called real people with real culture and real architecture and real timelines stepped off a boat.
Everything before that gets treated like fog, like background noise, like a blank landscape waiting to be drawn on.
Like the Europeans arrived here and just found a land untouched by human hands ready for them to Manifest (European) Destiny in, instead of, like, a continent full of nations older than most European countries, with civilizations, trade routes, astronomy, agriculture, laws, stories, cities, innovations, relationships to the land that go further back than many of the languages used to belittle them.
When Europeans say âAmerica is big,â they donât even mean the actual land full of over 500 nations of distinct peoples.
They mean the unmarked page they imagine they wrote on. When they say âEurope is old,â they mean âours is the old that matters.â The implication is always that Indigenous history doesnât count as history at all, that Indigenous people were somehow outside the timeline until colonialism kicked the clock into motion.
Iâm tired of watching it walk by unchallenged and seeing it drift by unchallenged.
North America wasnât waiting to be discovered.
It wasnât empty wilderness.
It wasnât without time or culture or memory.
It was already ancient when the Europeans arrived.
Treating Indigenous people like footnotes or shadows just makes it embarrassingly obvious that a lot of Europeans still donât see them as real people with real history, real innovation, and real presence.
This continent has been old for longer than Europe has had its current borders. The only thing thatâs new here is the colonial amnesia.

I'm not fond of the lgbt at this point like as a demographic white queers aren't any less likely to be racist than any other type of white people. Native queer people get fucking murdered and you can't talk about how their race is relevant, like you haven't been killing us for centuries. Happy pride month
I could wax sociological about how homophobia and transphobia are entwined with white supremacy but none of you fucking listen when we try to tell you anything, you just dig your heels in when we try putting it gently & confirm us as savages when we get angry. I'm so beyond sick of your shit
And I say Native *people* plural because this has happened before. This is what happens. You do this shit to Black people, too. Sometimes it's not about YOU it's about race first before anything else
[ID: a reply from @pacificnorthwhore that reads, "I understand your point but damn this is an aggressive and hateful way to say it" /end ID]
Good cause I hate you but also let me redirect you back to that "not listening when we put it gently and confirming us as savages when we get angry" point
Wanna second this on the Black side. Iâve brought it up on here before but like this is how crackers reacted to me gently spoon-feeding them the most basic of Black transfeminism/intersectional theory, the kinda shit we get taught AS FUCKING KIDS for our own safety:
If a white canât stand by us when weâre mad and (rightfully tbh) lashing out at them collectively for the oppression and suffering they stick us into, they DEFINITELY wonât stand by us the second shit gets hard. The trash is taking itself out but damn do I wish it wasnât leaking all over the place and leaving us to clean up after it.
