Pearl relocating her entire base but with help from the other hermits this time.

I’ve been thinking about these Pearl concepts inspired by the fire station move and finally sat down and sketched them out

so here’s some hermitcraft season 12 concepts where she becomes real estate agent/realtor who does base consultations + a moving lady (idk what they’re called) that goes by pearlescent moo-ving company etc

the wild life gempearl animosity bears a striking resemblance to the end of pearl's first episode of double life. from pearl's perspective, both rejections are utterly undeserved, and any rationalizations that scott/gem give her seem to have been invented after the fact to justify their choice. neither of them allow pearl to reason with them. out of character, both decisions were made to create interesting content (if i remember right, both gem and scott have admitted to this directly), which leaves quite a bit of interpretive wiggle room.

considering the overall dynamic of both scott and gem's relationships with pearl, i prefer to characterize these decisions as deliberately manipulative. in scott's case, there was no betrayal on pearl's end. he was merely bored of her. he'd learned everything she had to offer him last season, and the only thing left was to see what she'd do if he pushed her away and intentionally tormented her while telling everyone who would listen about how it was the other way around. he had his internal justifications set up already—if he treated her in such a way that it would guarantee a retaliation, he could emphasize her actions while skating over his own wrongdoing. he invented a problem, established his rejection of pearl as a reaction instead of an initiation of conflict, and got to work spinning a narrative.

gem uses a few similar tactics in wild life. she sets herself as the wronged party, provoking pearl into retaliation so she can take issue with anything pearl does to wrong her. she ropes scott into the position of her cross-team ally in the effort to belittle pearl, correctly identifying his inclination to scold pearl anyway. (sidenote: watching scott oblige gem when they're not even allies, purely because he knows she's powerful and can beat him at his own game, is extremely satisfying.) gem does all of this to put pearl in the position of having to make it up to her, but she also inevitably starts believing her own lie. and in any case, what she really wants, what she's always wanted, is to bring out scarlet pearl.
