Just a little Reminder...
Please remember that the blogs and accounts which you follow, from the insanely mega-popular ones to the small ones that feel like your little secret treasure, are owned and managed by actual human beings, just like you.
They have lives outside of the content you see, which often dictates their time. Be that school, job, health, family, children, etc. Most, if not all, make no money from their content, and those who do seldom make enough to live on, so those other commitments have to take priority.
Therefore, most of us create content in our spare time, often as a way to detach and de-stress from the pressures of real life. We do that because we expect to get enjoyment out of it, and maybe make a few friends along the way.
However, it seems that people tend to forget that other accounts also have a real human behind them, or lack the empathy to care.
I completely understand that it can be disappointing when your ask doesn't get answered, or your request gets denied, or your message gets ignored. Every single person reading this will have experienced that, more than once. In fact, many will say that happens more often than not!
It stings when it happens, I know. You pluck up the courage to make contact, only to be knocked back. Sometimes, it feels like they're being lovely and responsive to everyone except you.
But responding by spamming them with further requests or messages, or becoming nasty with/about them, is only going to give you more trouble. If you're lucky, you'll just get ignored or blocked, perhaps after an angry message telling you to stop. If you're unlucky, you might find yourself becoming the subject of a call-out, which will result in backlash and possibly cause you to lose your own followers.
Please remember the human behind your favourite content, and don't air your dirty laundry in public.
