hello. please forgive my insanity
in the 2007 movie, I'd say it takes place across a couple of months. at the beginning of the film i think is early December or maybe late november, because the tree they are in gets chopped down and put into a mall where christmas decor is Just being put up, which i feel like indicates the beginning of december.
the chipmunks and dave bond and write songs all of december, and yk the stuff with ian happens, their christmas song is a hit, and they're excited for christmas.
and THEN they move out of Dave's house like a few days after Christmas.
Then they go on TOUR. the first bit of the tour is their "cost to cost" tour, which ian says will be 5 days long. So I think that would take us to the end of December, early January
They continue performing for Ian and being in commercials
Based on a realistic time frame, it is probably mid January when the film ends, if I had to guess.
The squeakquel. In my opinion is at least a year after the first movie, if not more. The chipmunks are well established, and most importantly are very bonded with Dave, enough to call him dad. So like, I think quite a bit of time has passed here. And I'm sure it took Dave a long time to decide he wants to put the chipmunks in school.
The month they start in is unclear, but considering it's football season, they Probably started in September.
The squeakquel is probably 3-4 weeks long. Their routine is established "alvin, this is your day to do the laundry" a couple Fridays pass.
Gives them enough time to have seen the chipettes around school, for practices and rehearsals, the toy drive preparations, ect ect and also for Dave to be in the hospital.
In between 2 & 3 is probably another couple years or so for the same reasons as stated above
Chipwrecked is like a week? They are on the boat for maybe two (more like 1 and a half) days, and then they're on the island for like 4-5 days based on the amount of nights they have
You can add a couple days to that for the end of the film, where they perform and then travel by plane back home
The road chip? don't ask me. i don't think about that movie if i don't have to LMAO
