By the way, which scenes impacted you the most? (Regarding Komahina)
So, when I first encountered the game (which was around when I was 14-15) I believe the confession in the FTE was the one to impact (?) me, or at least surprise me the most as I was not expecting something so direct. However the current men's opinion has changed as I went back to the series and analyze it further.
I say the most impactful KomaHina scene to me is this part (but also the whole conversation) in chapter 4. I believe with context this moments get heavier. By this point Komaeda knows what's Hinata's deal is and that he is basically anything he is against of. He as a person contrasts Komaeda's belief of how ordinary people can't simply gain talent later in life, he's the Ultimate Despair and is the (second) reason why the world is doomed.
Yet Komaeda can't help but care for him regardless of all this knowledge he now has. And he's being vulnerable with Hinata, admitting that with everything added, from his religious like beliefs to Hinata's status to what he had done as Ultimate Despair he can't help but feel these feeling of care towards Hinata. I feel like this is the true love confession and it always makes me feel very fuzzy whenever I think about it.
This is also the biggest proof against the argument that Komaeda only liked Hinata because he thought he possessed a great talent or he began to hate Hinata after finding out he's a Reserve Course student. Because why would he even say that when he now hates him?
For Hinata I feel like chapter 5 is where his feelings shine. I believe Komaeda's death is what unironicaly humanized him in Hinata's eyes. Because after the betrayal we see Hinata trying so hard to put Komaeda into a box of one dimensional antagonist stereotype yet after his death he can't help but see him as more than someone that got joy of tricking them.
He feels devastated by how their relationship ends by not truly understanding Komaeda, but also unironicaly shows how he's the only one who came to understand the bastard.
I also can't help but adore this moment because Komaeda is specifically apologizing to Hinata, in such direct and vulnerable way too, and almost as if he guessed he would actually understand him enough to solve his case.
I can go on but yeah chapter 4 and 5 were the most impactful to me as it's when their relationship truly formed. 0-3 are okay but honestly I like KomaHina after everything is revealed where they both cannot help but accept one another.

gameoverse seems fun enough. but the cynical feminist in me can't help herself. all the male characters are like, cartoon blobs, which is contrasted strongly by the two major female characters in this pilot, both of whom are hour-glass shaped humanoid women who spend most of their screentime in swimsuits. and like that's not an outright dealbreaker but i *am* staring into the camera with my eyebrows raised.
idk i'm getting really tired of this "connecticut clark and malfina" type shit where male characters get to be Silly Abstract Little Guys but women have to be women shaped. it's this male-as-default thing that i hate where you don't need to add anything to a character design to imply male-ness but the woman better have wide hips and booba or else yknow like idk it's not outright Offensive but it is tiring
how it feels seeing a woman depicted in any media
