so like. years ago when i was fifteen i went to a mormon church camp and met this girl. she was cool we hit it off and later both were like “yeah i couldn’t tell if i was into you or just really liked hanging out with you”

those friends i made there became a permanent friend group through the lockdown years here in the US and one thing led to another and i ended up marrying her childhood-present best friend, we all moved in together and have been living together for like. a few years at this point

now. she has dated every single other member of the friend group. except notably me. mostly because i was busy dating and getting married to my darling wife. but every time she dated someone i got this little pang in the pit of my stomach.

this is not new, this happened all the time in high school, i catch feelings quickly and intensely and make it everyone’s problem. so i just kinda ignored them and they went away because i’m growing as a person and can deal with my own feelings for the most part, and also she’s somewhere on the aro-ace spectrum and doesn’t really care for dating and romance and sex. no big deal i just gotta be normal about it

she does however love fake flirting with us as friends and making jokes about having a threesome with me and my wife.
