*  III.  /  JULIA GREYJOY DRUMM
Certainly, Julia knew that her brother had done nothing wrong. At least this particular brother had not, seeing as she had just been quarreling with one of the others. All in all, she had far too many brothers, and was glad that she should not be getting any more. Andrik, (not he-who-she-did-not-feel-like-naming) was still a good king, apparently not the worst husband, and someone she still believed in. She did, however, see fit to figure out what he was doing. It was her right as his sister, after all, to bother him at inconvenient moments. She did not even get to enjoy doing that nearly often enough.
âI sincerely hope that you are not busy,â Julia said, striding up to him. âBecause I have hardly seen you in the lastâŚâ It seemed to Julia that she had lost her ability to track time of late. This would have been worrying if she had more stressors. All in all, though, nothing gut-wrenching had come up. âIt has been a while.â And maybe she missed just sitting and talking with someone familiar. There had been far too many strangers throughout the last several months, and that could be overwhelming. And perhaps she had some topics in mind of Andrik did not brush her off. Not that she would mind, really, seeing as she had not done anything to plan out the conversation.
Andrik was the second son and child of Veron Greyjoy and Thyra Goodbrother, Gwin was born minutes after and after which came the Lady of Old Wyk but in many other ways Julia had always been older. To the point where even her chides felt appropriate, it is what older sister did nonetheless. This particular scold however, didnât seem waranted. Not with the unsual amount of time he had been spending on Pyke. â It has been a while, I think. Here I was on my way to mourn you for surely, something grave had happened for you not come see your brothers sooner.   âÂ
Slowing down to match Juliaâs pace, he still kept at her side. â Iâm told youâve gone North to see Karstarks and South to see Gardeners.  Did you have fun at least.  â He asked in staid manner. His question despite sounding like reprimand had been intended to have an answer. He had only two sisters and marriage had never been the greatest pretense for adventure, he learned as much from Gwin.Â
*  I.  /  NAâILA
âIt is quite late to be out alone. Is there not some place you belong, instead of hiding in the dark like you are planning to steal my cloak?â
After lifting his head, Andrik could only let out a small grunt. Raiding was not with itâs weariness and none more evident by the dark that rimmed eyes. The fact heâd been awake somwhere past three full days didnât sour his already foul mood but rather made him much more passive.
â Why would I  do such a thing. âÂ

DIGGING THE DULL SIDE OF A BLADE into his fingernails, Andrik paid no mind or rather could not be bothered with what his scribe read to him. Congratulatory notes from houses he did not know and other usless remark about either the child in his wifeâs belly or the many others, he was almost certain. A duty he often tasked on to his wife, the more literate of the two of course. It seems he could not find it in himself to not be irritated by another manâs constant presence.That was until a set of particular words picked his ear followed by the opening of the great oak doors in his chambers. It wasnât long before she appeared, word had reached him that her ship had docked in Orkmont and it was just now a matter of time before she made her way to Pyke. She roamed both in his home and generally in the isles with the many freedom she was once allotted. His men beliving there their relationship more than profesional. A thought that would certainly reduce them both to a fit laughter.
 â  It seems youâre back â already.  â
* Â II. Â / Â RAGNA REDWYNE GREYJOYÂ
His lack of eagerness wounded her, though she kept it hidden. In public he was always a different man. Commanding respect of a king, and not a fool that fell over his wife as if she were a coffer filled with gold. The short year spent in his company had taught her to expect less. He would never dote on her the way boys in the Reach did with their lovers. At least not under the watchful eyes of his crewmen and brothers. Once they were alone maybe he would let her run her fingers through his unruly tresses and press kisses to his chest. Something she yearned for the moment their ship departed from the docks weeks prior.Â
Though she often stood a head over others, he still loomed above her. So close that she had to barely reach out to feel the rough leathers against his skin. There was so much she yearned to ask him yet the words remained muddled on her tongue. Why did you really come here? Did it drive you mad knowing what you wanted most was more than a stones throw away? Did you dream of me and wake up to the cold beside you.? I did. I always do when youâre gone. âI was. Your brothers could intimidate a dragon if they wished.â Ragnaâs voice distant as her mind was stuck on the distance torn between them. Though after a few moments, her hands reached out and tugged at the coarse fabric of his tunic despite her initial hesitance. The others on the ship suddenly miles away. Let them all see that youâre mine and I am yours. She thought, as she tugged him forward. It is only a stare. Everyone has stared at me since I was child too strange to understand. Maybe you should witness the discomfort Iâve always endured.Â
âHave you grown deaf in our time apart, husband? I said Iâve missed you.âÂ
Even as tall as was Ragna was, she still did not quite reach him. Such lithe and poised lady fell perfectly into the chest of his tunic. If she had forgotten her composure at the Trident, he wasnât too how much it would be missed. Not failing to notice the unusual possession in which she touched him, his masculinity would not allow her to pluck him the way he had so often done to other women. Soon his hands found their way to her waist and joined her at their hips. Even in his attempted to best her. he did so with a tenderness in his grip, a strange feelings he was sure neither of them had been accustomed to. It was a warmth that seeped through the cracks on his brusqueness, even if only for a passing moment.  â I have missed you too, wife. â He went on, combing his fingers through the fabric of her dress as he abandoned the embrace. Eyes still fixed on the soft smile she had offered him, unable to find his own tongue in a moment so inexplicably joyful. Who would have thought? Who could have seen? That Andrik Greyjoy kneesâ throbbed and went stiff at the sight of a woman. That offered his love to more than just the sea. Between their two bodies grew his seed but at that moment he didnât come to think of the true born heir he so longed to have, only that he loved the woman who bore him, him too and perhaps simply for being his motherâs son.
 â Thereâs much we need to discuss. â Although Andrik had never been much of a man for gossip, he came to enjoy her girlish giggles over small and simple this. He missed the wander in which she spoke of everything. He missed her. That was of course, was always a good reason to neglect all his other duties.
