“Don’t worry about it, you look perfect,” Gabe reassured her, having checked out Gray earlier when she’d walked into the room. He could feel her tense up in his hold and he knew exactly why – all of his friends’ eyes were on them. Gabe tightened his arms around her small frame and pulled her body closer to him, her back pressing against his chest. “Alright, I know Grayson’s beautiful but ya’ll need to stop staring at my girlfriend,” Gabe spoke, joking to his friends but also at the same time indirectly telling them that they were staring and he wanted them to stop. Thankfully, they all could take a hint.
Gray smiled looking down at him when she listened to him, “Thank you.” She felt his arms tighten up softly around her, relaxing her body. Her hand moved to Gabe’s hand that rested on her waist lightly tracing his thumb as a sign of thank you. She then heard his voice speak over the music to his friends, “Oh stop.” She laughed shaking her head nudging her elbow to his arm. She relaxed her shoulders when she noticed them laugh and turn their attention back to where they were previously. “Sorry.” She spoke just quiet enough for him to hear with a shy smile.
